Got a call 7:44 PM PST. Some buy reading a long, long description of some kind of "life alert system" he's trying to sell me. Finally got him to admit that in order to sign up I'd have to give him a credit card number. Told him It seemed like a scam to me and hung up on him. The area codes says Washington state, but this guy says he's calling from NY. If you're a senior citizen don't fall for this.

Scammers calling with information about "the new national senior assistance program" offering grocery discounts and a "free medical alert system". I didn't answer, but they left a one-minute long message with their so-called "offer." Reporting them to the DNC list folks.

Even as I type this some poor sole is trying to sell me something - she's going on and on. Lots of background, boiler-room noise. Something about a security system.
Washington State has become the new telemarketer capitol of the USA - and clearly, the meth capitol of the USA.
I kept the telemarketer on the line for over 7 minutes until she insisted on getting my CC # - I had already given her a fake name and address.
Have blocked their future calls. We have the new Panasonic phone that blocks 250 numbers - they're on our block list.
