I have one of those call-blocking Panasonic phones. Love it.

Got 2 calls today from this number. Now it's blocked.

Block the number--I learned about Panasonic phones from a post on another phone number site. The ones that have Call Block will let you block any phone number (even numbers that are out of your calling area). You will hear 1 ring; the caller will get a busy signal.

I didn't answer the call as I didn't recognize it on caller id. Tried to call back but line was busy. I've gotten many calls for this credit card scam and pressing the number to cancel these calls does no good. Just don't answer.

Let's see how smart a***s are these people, and how far they can go harassing us.

Nice paragraph. yes, fraud. Read the FTC website. They took down one of these Fraudsters, Card Services, Serv Card, or any way they like to put their caller ID. There is no law that says they must call you. haha what BS. Good call

I had taken my call forward block off and they got through to the answering machine. No I don't need card services or a home loan or any one of their scams.
I blocked them by using youmail.com for my cell and landline. I ditch anyone that calls then go online and look at any of these kind of sites for the highest recorded spam #'s. I added several 253's for this contact because I figure it is a phone bank and any one of them will eventually call again. I also file with the FCC. Go to their website. Enough complaints help them bring the group down. It's more than one but it has worked in the past.
Frustrating but with over 80 numbers blocked I seem to be capturing quite a few. They tend to call in a day. then other days, silent. heaven!

Panasonic has a phone that will block 30 #s.  Definitely not enough but better than nothing.  When I block a #, I keep a record of when the call came in and will delete based on that.  I use these phones for work and home

I get calls regularly from this place and it always says that it is your last call from them.  I have even pressed the appropriate number to talk to a person and asked that my number be removed from their call list, but they continue to call.  I have also filed a complaint from the Do Not Call List, but it doesn't seem to help, since they are still calling.

Whether from this phone number or not, I have received multiple phone calls from "Credit Card Services" offering to lower credit card payments.  I have requested multiple times for them to add me to the Do Not Call list, but it never works, as apparently they don't respect U.S.A. laws.

Today I pressed 1 to "talk with a friendly agent", and received a recording a few minutes later stating "no agent is available" and was disconnected automatically.

FRUSTRATING spam calls, on my cell phone nonetheless.

Every time this house receives a call from Unknown Name at 253-245-4798 I press 1 to speak to someone and request to be removed from their call list. As soon as I am requesting to be removed they hang up.

This is a huge scam! They are asking to consolodate creadit cards.

Please, find out who this is and make them stop.

Oh, and if you try to call the number I listed, it will tell you it is not a working number.

HA!  Managed to keep this fool on the line for over 7 minutes - slow (but fun) day here!  Ha, Ha, Ha!

This one had a thick Indian accent -  I kept saying that I couldn't understand him and made him repeat almost all of his spiel...several times.  He SERIOUSLY wanted me to give him my Amex CC #.  Eventually, I asked for his name and told him I would list his name on 800 Notes and he could be famous!  CLICK!

Have blocked the number.

Buy a call-blocking phone.

Uniden and Panasonic make wonderful call blocking phones and they're inexpensive.  They also come with at least one wireless handset.  Very handy!!!

These phones also block ?Out of Area? and ?Private? calls.

BTW as I was typing this, an "Out of Area" call came in and was blocked.

I received a call from this number last evening. The gentlemen was very nice but he wanted to do a survey from what TV stations I watch to if I go to church or not.  He wanted my street address which I did not give.  Strange.

Just got called on my mobile phone. New recording to my ear, as it was not Rachel, Heather, Jennifer ... The recording had some static in it, and boiled down to it being my last chance to do something about my account or they'd close my file. Bla bla.

I'm getting increasingly annoyed that these folks are not shut down. I keep adding their numbers to the "Telemarketer Scum" contact I created on my mobile phone; but they call the house line too.

I agree! Best way is to get a blocking system on your phone. Best available holds 30 numbers and I block at least 5 calls a day. About once a week, a new number comes up and I have to remove the oldest blocked one to make room. This limits the nusience, but no way to make these calls stop completely. Congress should hold phone providers responsible for adding equipment that can trace all calls, even computer generated ones. Also any internet servers handling phone services, should be required to find a way to ID every user and block any scammers, etc. The FTC could do more, just like they busted the scammers posing as the FTC. Tells me as private citizens they don't care about us, but involve them in a scam and they get to work.

It seems that taxes have already been reduced and that's probably why there's no staff left to enforce DNC.

Got yet another call with the same identical message, about lowering interest rates (and we don't even USE credit cards...), and talking about this being "the last message" (don't I wish!!) regarding this, and talk about some "stimulus".  How very interesting, eh?  Why is it that the DNC Registry worked just great till about 3-4 years ago, and now I get these calls all the time?  Gee, what changed.....?  In any case, this is the SAME scam, from yet another number.  They call from all over the place.  If you do speak to someone, give them NO information at all.  No way this is a legitimate business, calling from so many different area codes, yet with the same recording.

I too initially got frustrated after repeated calls from these ummm jerks, Then I chose to have some fun with them. when I choose to answer I yell some unintelligible word and start speaking LOUDLY in a made up language, then they say hello and I say yes, hold on please..... one minute later I speak for 3 minutes in a very quiet made up language and ask, ya got that? They either swear at me or hang up. The most fun is when I keep them on the line for up to ten minutes.. Wheeee ! so much fun :)

Voice recorded call suggesting that this is my last chance to consolidate my credit card accounts at a rate as low as 6%. Strangely, I don't owe any balance on any of my cards. Another BS automated piece of crap...

I just received a call from this number, I thought it might be my credit card bank call me.  When I hit 1 the operator came on and when I asked is this a sales call or a call from my current backing bank he lied and said it was.  When he started the sales pitch I interuppted him to say this is a sales pitch and I am not interested.  He then said "you are a f****ng idiot" and hung up

Folks---its a universal and huge scam. They claim to be card services and even give you toll free numbers (sometimes) of the actual numbers of vias, mastercard, etc. When you call those, they answer Card Service. Of course service is a dept of each of those. The caller seems legit  They talk to you a while then want your credit card info to VERIFY you. Theyare trying to STEAL YOUR CARD info---its ID theft and the card will be used, sold, charged for no items etc. The fake company hides and the real card company cant find them to file charges. When they call, quickly insult their mother with four letter names then hang up
