Prank Call
This number started calling my cell phone....again!  No, the Do Not Call list does not matter anymore.  These people know who they are because they are reading this.  You will not win!

Something about Electric Service - said repeatedly I am not interested. Since I have ATT U-Verse VOIP they don't have privacy manager luckily for my home phone set has 20 spaces to which block phone numbers (but not weird of spoofed numbers) and blocked them. however they continue to call nearly every day (shows on my call log) and sometimes as much as 3 times a day.. It is very annoying I wish the FCC would get some balls and close robo calls like these instead of hiding behind the freedom of speech banner. I am sure if I as an individual called someone as many times as this businnes does I would be labeled as harassment and would be locked up.

Finally got someone on the phone to answer when I picked it up.  It's a number that's recycled for temporary uses.  Right now 'Max' from Green Light, an energy supplier, is trying to sell their services.  I get so many calls from energy companies to deliver my gas.  I DON'T HAVE GAS!!!!!!!!

I received a "This is Kelly" message, and something about lowering my credit card interests rate.  The rest of the message was to press three to be removed from the list, and to press five to speak to an operator.  Before I could press three, the call disconnected.  I reported the caller to the FTC as a Do Not Call List violation.  I have no idea about who this "Kelly" is.  I have received innumerable calls from "Rachel at Card Member Services."  "Kelly" is new!

Beg to differ with you, but I believe there IS value in posting here, that being, the ability to spread the word about the "card services" scammers to others, who are not aware of these lowlifes, and possibly preventing them from being taken advantage of. The scammer's main targets are the low income and the elderly. If folks posting here, who are obviously aware of the scams, were to advise others, especially those in these groups, it would go a long way in preventing the scammers from cheating them, thus cutting off their sources of ill-gotten revenue.

I no longer answer some numbers!!All these creeps use a SPOOF numbers, not there real number!
We are wasting out time posting on this forum!!!!!!!! Nothing will happen just like listing your number on the Do-Not-Call list, N-O-T-H-I-N-G happens!!!  Who knows what their real number is as they are usually calling from a fake (SPOOF) number....  I get calls all the time from new numbers as the old ones I block on my phone. Just hang up or when the want your credit card number tell then to hold on while you get it, sure.   My view...  How to file with the FTC....     http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
Here is how they do it, Just Google search "How to SPOOF a caller I.D. number"
How is this legal???? Go to this link, you may have to copy and paste: http://www.creditcards.com/credit-card-news/F ... _scams-1282.php

Who knows why folks call that won't leave a message. Could be a network of thieves trying to see if you are not home so they can rob your residence; so don't answer and grab your glock. Could be they need to confirm you live there so they can start identity theiving. Could be  times are so hard people do what they have too to earn a buck, which loses it's value daily as the FED keeps printing them and giving away our grandkids income (which will be heavily taxed in the future) tax money given away in foreign aid, bailouts and numerous grants. If it's important they will leave a message; if not a likely waste of your time. At least we have a tool here to convey our dissapointment. Keep fighting for whats right America, when we stop so will the America we love!!!!

I am getting HIGHLY irritated. They call and tell me they are calling about my national grid bill, when I ask who they are calling for IT'S NOT ME, it's the previous owners of the number!! I have asked them NUMEROUS times to  remove MY number from their system because they are trying to contact the wrong person.
Today they called AGAIN, I told the guy off on the other end of the line. Then I tried to call the number back to talk to a supervisor to make sure this time it was removed and I get a message telling the number has been DISCONNECTED??????? how the hell are they calling me from a disconnected number?????????????

Called 3 times today.  I was home to answer the 3rd call and as soon as I said hello, it hung up.  I constantly get calls from bill collectors from the people who had our number previously, so I've had to start answering every call, just to make sure my number is taken off of the collectors' lists.  This scammy hang-up crap is just obnoxious.

Apparently, very few of you seem to understand how DNC (do not call) lists work for telemarketers and other similar outfits. One way or another, they get ahold of your # from a computer containing info on everyone they call. If you call them and ask to be put on the DNC list, they computer will show you as DNC the next time your name comes up, and not show your #. However, your # will be revealed if you have given this company written permission to call. I know who would ever do that? In any case all the caller has to do is click one button on his computer to claim that they have written permission (which isn't cleared with anybody) and your # comes back up and they call and bother you again. Don't even bother with the DNC list. All it really does is tell the company that there is somebody alive at that # and they will keep calling. If you leave calls like this unanswered they are more likely to give up. If you are unsure about a # don't pick it up and check a forum like this before calling it back. Just my advice, hope it helps some of you.

Same old crap, going to lower my interest rate. The Do Not Call people can't stop these idiots because they spoof
the number they are calling from. They can't trace these calls. If they could they would. I'm sure they don't like all
the complaints of them not doing anything to help us. I keep a whistle by the phone and push the number to speak
with one of the reps. When they answer I give them a nice long tweet. They must not have caller ID because they
never call me back. It's the only way I can say screw you a..hole.

Just my opinion, I think credit card companies sell client information for this reason.  Why else would companies set up just o have people hang up on them?  Where do they get the numbers?  Not just random acts here folks.  I am sure some big capitalist industry is making millions from this on the other end.
I just unplug my house phone and use my cell.  The house phone came with the cable package, so I never need to use it.
Use the mystery numbers for people who you don't want to know your name or number.  Great for clubs and people you know you will never see again! Priceless!

The phone was not answered. Didn't recognize the number. From the looks of the reports, I would have been the target of another idiot scam. Gee I love paying my telephone bill for idiots like this to abuse it. I am on the National Do Not Call list and I guess it doesn't help much.

Received a call from 253-246-8500 on 11/18/2013 at 10:33am EST. Caller ID displayed "Kent WA". Google Voice already has this number on their spam list so my phone did not ring and the caller was automatically sent to voicemail. An automated message was left.

The voicemail message was a robocall from the "Card Services" scam (or something similar) regarding lowering my credit card interest rates.

I have added this number to my Google Voice block list.
