Got another call from "Angie" of Cardholder Services (maybe "Rachel" has a sister) - I thought FTC finally shut them down, but they're back.
Lin 2012-11-09 17:26:42 Unknown
I have received numerous calls from a company identified as "Credit Card Services" for over the past 2 years. They call and leave voice mail messages or try to talk to you by have a pre-recorded message on when you answer the phone and ask you to press 1 on your phone to be connected to a representative. If you do that and ask them to stop calling and remove your name from the list, they either tell you they will or just hang up on you.
I have reported them several times to the Florida state and National DNC registry and nothing has been done that I know of. The DNC people have never provided me with any type of follow up. Unfortunately my phone service provider does not offer call blocking or they would have been blocked a long time ago.

From what I see, these DNC lists are to a big extent a government scam, too, WE'RE the offended parties, but the government decides when and if to prosecute an offender, and if they assess fines, the GOVERNMENT keeps them, and gives US nothing! We're working for the government and getting nothing for it! How do we know what the government does with the money, whether any of it is ever used for the benefit of American citizens?
Lightnin 2012-08-28 15:53:56 Unknown
Every one of those recorded "lower your interest rate" calls is a violation of the DNC regulations (it's a violation to use a recorded call for that). They know it. I report them to the national AND state DNC every time.

The scumbags are still in business. Got an "urgent" message on my answering machine. The a$$holes prey on us older people.

It appears these cockroaches are still in business. Have filed complaints with Washington attorney general's office, FTC and FCC. Would suggest you do the same. The only way to get rid of this vermin is to make your complaint known to state and federal authorities. Good luck.

Have received calls several times...so annoying! Am so sick of getting solicitation calls.... the DNC Registration obviously does NOT WORK!
NUMBER: 253-246-8528

After asking politely to stop calling me and getting nowhere, here's what I'm doing: I press "1" and when asked if I have credit cards with high interest rates, I tell them, "you bet I do!" I give them amounts and interest rates (all fake and thought up on the spot). Next they ask for my credit card numbers and expiration dates. I tell them I have to get my purse. That's when the phone simply gets left in another room until it finally dawns on them that I'm not coming back.
I figure I'm going to waste their time.

(Robocaller) Called claiming to be 'your credit card service' yet I don't have any credit cards. my number is on the national Do-not-call list.

Robocall claiming to be my bank/credit card service. Don't have any credit cards. This phone number is on the National Do-not-call list. First-rate thief and scumbag!
Tara 2012-05-10 18:49:36 Unknown
No, this has nothing to do with credit cards and frankly I'm appalled by some of these questions. I'm not performing for these foolish solicitors anymore, not unless I get working information on physical currency. In other words, take your iPad and shove it. I don't want a credit card, I hate cruise packages, I'm not interested in time shares, or dead bolted doors, and my credit is okay. I've had it with this crap.
GBuckeye1 2012-05-10 18:28:17 Unknown
Ditto: Keep calling at all hours saying I can lower credit interest, etc, etc, and to hit "3" to be removed for future call lists!!! BUT YOU CAN NOT FRICKEN BE REMOVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Been going on for about 3 months now! Block one of their other numbers and they just call back with another (last 4 digits) message, different incoming line.

Unwanted calls
The same people keep calling showing different numbers or no number at all. They all start saying something like, "Congratulations! Because you've made your payments on time, " and continuing that I can lower my credit card interest" always insinuating that they are my own credit card company calling about my own personal account, but they are not.

Didn't pick it up... after reading this.

What is the mystery to me is that I do not even have a credit card.

Hmmm... just got a call from this number. I never answer calls from area codes I do not recognize (every one has been a telelmarketer/scam artist). This one, however, came through with a name attached to the number - "CashGifts" (exactly as it appeared).
I guess for many people that would be an enticement to answer the call since who wouldn't want a cash gift? But, I know no one never gets something of value for absolutely no cost
Rick 2012-05-04 19:30:10 Unknown
Now these jerks are calling multiple times, one right after the other. As soon as the first call stops ringing (I never answer), it starts ringing again. Unreal.
Rick 2012-05-04 18:38:39 Unknown
That and a dollar will get you a newspaper. The DNC list is as useless as every other government program. I've filed complaints and received a response from each of them which says they don't do anything but compile data. The only thing you can do is not answer the calls because, if you do, your number is considered "active" and gets sold to other companies.

the call I had from this number was about a trip to grand cayman.......at least that's what was on my answering machine. apparently a lot of scam calls from the same number. so much for the DNC registry!!

Received two calls from them. They left no message.

Received this call yesterday at 2:30 PM. Put this on my "Blocked call" list. I have over 30 blocked calls all different in the last 3 months. Always report them to Do not call list or FTC. Go to FTC.gov.

Just got another call from this CNAM place. I actually got one of them on the phone and played along with their gig, until I told them that my CC debt was actually at 7.99%, and they hung up on me. Said I didn't qualify, and hung up. I never got a chance to tell them to stop, just click! This is why I love Verizon FIOS. I get all my voicemail messages emailed to me, so I can listen and then delete them if they are scams... So let their computer call my computer all they want.

If you don't recognize the number, don't pick up.
That's what voicemail is for.
The less you pick up, the less they call.
We get maybe one call every 3 or 4 weeks since we stopped answering.
These scabs are overseas, so calls initiated from overseas do not have to adhere to the National Do-Not-Call list. (get it? NATIONAL...not INTERnational)

Call arrived about 11:00 AM while at work. Promised lower rate on credit card, and that it was a "final notice." No idea what company or bank this is. Filed complaint with U.S. Do Not Call registry.
Sue 2012-04-04 19:42:31 Unknown
You can report to the FCC, FTC & Attorney General's office. I have done all three however, the calls will still come. They are calling from outside the United States and use our numbers from all over our country. I have reported at least 50 numbers that showed up on caller ID but these people are hard to catch. I am cancelling my landline since that is where I get the calls.
Carol 2012-04-04 19:38:07 Unknown
Unfortunately, these scammers find enough "suckers" to buy their illegal "product" and that's what keeps them going. And they may be overseas callers, so the U.S. is having a tough time catching them.
