I kep getting calls from 253-246-8500 when u call back it says it's a non working number

Every day I get calls from Pacifictel 253-246-8500 they show up on my caller I'd. When I called back the message came thru number not in service. I am on the do not call list but I guess that doesn't matter. This company is a pain

Got a call from a Pacificel (253) 246-8500 and (816) 718-2974 claiming to lower my interest rates on credit cards. I called the number back and it said no longer in service. Don't know what kind of scam this is.

Hey folks....FCC..FTC..are not going to help you...neither is the NO CALL List...do not answer phone calls IF you do not recognize number..what they do is see if the number is working...then they know it's good...either block it or don't answer it....

6912, Ind Sur Group, 360-474-3915,360-474-3939, Affordablevacci, 360-529-6963, 360-474-3915, from Seattle, Washington. I'm also on the no call list and had no problems until now.

I beleive the caller from the ID Pacifictel is gaining numbers somehow through LOwes and other credit card info they have hacked into and it apears to be useing the Qwest telephone corperation or a scrambler to make one see that as the company .   At any rate they are ILLEGALY trying to gain peoples info ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,So don't give them any opportunity ,,,,,,,,,,I simply don't answer the phone and wish they would F***K OFF

Folks, if you're on the Do Not Call registry file a complaint EVERY TIME they call you. The FCC will investigate, and prosecute.

got three calls from this number, 3684743948, and the company viewed in the caller id display is PACIFICTEL.

3604743948 was the number on my caller id and it said it was from pacifictel. Didn't pick up but it keeps calling for the past 2 weeks. By the way I'm from the east coast Ny. Anyone know what this is about and how we got on the list and how to remove ourselves from it.

We have a un-published phone number, as we don't want any type of  sales or survey calla ! I have M.S & it's not easy for me to get to the phone ! I want them to STOP calling me !!!

What they are doing is called spoofing. The pay money to get numbers that aren't their own, so that it will show up on your caller id as a regular number. The DNC registry only recognized calls from 800 numbers. The FTC recommends that you take a picture of your caller id, or make a screen shot of it, and to also take notes on how many calls you get from them, then go on FTC.gov and file a complaint with them. They also said to contact your states AG office and file a complaint with them. What they are doing is against a federal law that was passed that says telemarketers have to have their number show up as their own on caller id's.

That's the same number I get phone calls from too. And the same message.  I was like...huh??  I suppose I can just let it be. Sometimes I pick up my phone and say nothing. Maybe that's why they keep calling.  Maybe, eventually, they'll go away.

The number I get the calls from is: 253-246-8573.  When I call it back, the recording says that it is a disconnected number.

Don't let these moron's get the best of you...have fun with it. When they call, answer with a strong accent, like "HALO!". When they start talking, tell them to speak up because you can't hear them. When they start getting louder, then tell them to hold on because you need to switch phones. Then just lay the phone down and walk away. Wait 5-10 minutes, then just hang up. If they call back, start act like you have a cold or congestion and start coughing and snorting in the phone...obnoxious noises are usually the best. If they are still talking, tell them to wait so you can get a tissue to blow your nose.  Put phone down and walk away again. Just have fun coming up with creative things. It's a blast!!

A lot of these types of calls are coming from free apps downloaded on smartphones.  when it says the permissions they need to gain access to to download, like your phone book, that's how these free apps are staying free because  a lot of them are selling your numbers to pay for the upkeep of the free apps.  Also if you don't have a smart but possibly somebody you know does, they are still gaining access to the phone book of the smartphone, they can get your number too.  Just a thought

unwanted calls

I just recieved a call from 503-902-8482 but didn't answer. Anyone know I can contact in my state about this harassment?? This is the 3rd time in 3hrs! B

Over the months I have received numerous calls from different telephone numbers but with the same "pacifictel" name. I have an unlisted residential number and have been on the federal do not call list since it first started. This is obviously a criminal scam out to get your personal information or your money.

I received a call from Pacifictel on the caller ID and answered it up until now I would not answer.  I got a recording which said this was my last chance they were "going to pull my Credit Cards"  I hung up what they don't know is that this is OK with me since I don't use credit cards.

I received the same call reg. credit card rate from 503-902-8479 Pacifictel, several times now, the one time I answered the girl told me to go to my bank and have my rates lowered, when I did the bank told me it was fraud and I told the bank they should investigate, who knows if they get enough complaints maybe they will.............

NUMBER HAS CHANGED. 503.902.8479 I am getting calls from PacificTel wanting to lower my credit card rate or some such. When I ask what the name of the company and where located He acted like it was a trick question and hung up. When I called back it told me to give the number I want removed from the phone list... Ya I bet thats just what happened. I am sure they wont call again... What is the use of a no call list? GRR

I have received several call from a company called Pacifitel...can't find out why they are calling a business number.  Unlike most of the other post my call came from 1-206-496-0107 another call came from 1-360-529-6116.   I'm not saving lives at my job but it is still annoying to have to stop what I am doing and answer the phone only to have no one there.

I had the excact same experience. The message said to push one to talk to their FRIENDLY representative. Some "friendly" b***H***...hung up on me also. 1-971-373-2989 was on caller ID

We get the same calls from Pacifictel & also one about the FBI.  I called our phone company and they said for
$3 a month they would put unwanted calls on a list.  When Pacifictel or any unwanted calls again they would get a recorded message "that this  number was NOT taking any calls." I may just pay the $3 to stop getting these damn calls. They also suggested reporting it to the Sheriff's office.
