Two calls from new numbers in my rotation of annoyance:

602-620-6000 @ 2012-10-25 05:28pm - PHOENIX,AZ (typical of a cell phone)

I suspect these may be part of the same scam organization that stuck my number in their auto-dialer seven months ago and has been harassing me ever since.  More detail and numbers that have been bombarding me with calls are listed in my posts here:

Telemarketer call from this number. No reply when I answered.

I find it interesting that my number of calls from telemarketers has tripled since I signed up with Charter Cable for phone service.  anyone else in the same boat?

Called 10/16/2012 at 6:30pm.  Caller ID read "Kent, Washington."  Since these horrible Cardmember Services people call from cities where I know no one and the Caller ID always reads only a city name, I didn't answer.  Left no message, of course.

I blocked the number on my Comcast account, but they only allow you 12 blocked calls at a time, and that fills ui in a week.  So annoying.  How many hundreds (and I do mean hundreds) of calls from Cardmember Services to I have to block, for them to get the idea that I will NEVER be a client of theirs?

We get calls almost daily (sometimes multiple calls on the same day) from this number.

It comes up on caller id as "Member Services".

When we ask them to take us off their call list, they hang up.

What I do now is to pick up the call but not say anything.  After a few seconds, they hang up.

This is undoubtedly a boiler room operation that needs to be shut down by the authorities.

Called again today at 11:58 am and 1:12 pm but never leaves a message.  They called last week as well, but never left a message.

Call came in on 10/12/2012, caller name N/A only number, no message was left.

I recieved a call names "Member Services" and said that they can lower my electric bill and after pressing 0, I talked to Demetria (#908) and tried to get her to tell me the company's name and address(as required by law in IL).  She could not give me an address and said that the name of the company was "Consumer's Choice".  I told her that my number was on the Do Not Call List and this call they made was illegal.  She could not give me any other information and said that she would take my number off and it will take up to 48 hours.

I advise anyone who gets these calls to:
1. find someone to talk to on the other end and get as much information from them as you can as well as the person who talked to you.  Write it down also.
2. File a complaint with the FCC (and the do-not-call registry).  If you have any info and can do a google search of any companies, do so!  If you have sufficent in formation(company name and address), file a complaint with your state's attorney general.  I've done it with another company who was was sending texts to my cell phone.

Just because your number is on the registry it ONLY protects you from the LEGITIMATE callers.  These are groups who go around these laws and lists and scam people!

Scam. Calls about your electric bill going up and offers you a way to keep it low. What they are after is your credit card number or your bank account info. NEVER give these people any information. They are also persistent and once they have your number, they will call you on a daily basis. Don't bother with the Do Not Call list on this one. Criminals never adhear to the law.
