I don't answer numbers I don't recognize and it was on my cell, we dont have a house number.
I live in Tx. and got 4 calls from that number.
Last one was like 2 minutes ago, and they FINALLY left a message.
For me it was them calling to see if we were recieving our local newspaper.

have received 2 calls daily from 253-248-6426 for more than a month. Most times nobody is there when I pick up the telephone. I've called the company back to get their fax number so that I can fax them with a "do not call." Both times they were defensive and refused to give me a fax. Additionally, they refuse to identify who they are and what they want. I've reported them to the FTC. Complaint number issued by the FTC is 24029590. Most of these calls are dialed by computers.

obviously this is a collection agency.. from capitol one, chase, visa ect.. MRS Associations. They are a pain and will continue to call you until you send them a cease phone call letter or pay off your debt. Time to change your number!!!!!!

Called the house for the first time this morning.  Didn't recognize the number so let it go to voice mail.  No message left.  Call is from WA and I live in NV.

I programmed the numbr into my cell, stored it with the name "Dont Answer" then I customize the ring tone for Mr. Dont Answer to "silent" problem solved! I have some 20 or so Mr Dont Answer's in my phone now, but hey the ringing has stoped!:)

I got calls from this number back to back (253-248-6426)! If this is MRS, the have been calling me every half hour for the last 2 weeks all day long...that number is 800-929-8680! This is plain harassment! I wish my cell can block numbers!

I have been getting calls from this number for a while now. What they are is a collection agency called MRS ASSOCIATION. When I called the number back they did not want to give me any infomration as to who they were untill they get informaiton from me verifing who i am. So if you have anything going into collections then this is them trying to get paid, in which they can lick my nut sack cause i'm brok as all hell!

They have called me today.... 5 times. It's 1 in the afternoon.
Could very well be a debt collector, but leave me a freaking message so I know who you are and why you are calling.

This thread is encouraging me not to answer these calls. But I want them to stop. Leave a message, I'll call you back, you'll get your $$. No message, then no money.

This number is calling my 13 year old son's cell phone asking for some person we have no idea who they are and then when told that the guy asks "When are you going to stop lying to me?" We are even on the do not call registry, yet they keep calling. When I tried to call back it gives me an answering system saying my call will be monitored yada yada yada. This is so annoying and I wish that these people would get a real life.

it just repeats "Please hold momentarily for an important call" over and over and over and over and over etc. wont stop calling either, im no longer going to bother answering the phone. its ridiculous and im not gonna waste any more of my time on them.

I have gotten 10 calls from them this morning, and it's only noon! Haven't picked up since I read this thread but it's annoying not picking it up and telling them off!!

Got this call today, 3 times already and it is barely noon, first two were back-to-back. I do not answer unless I know the caller. Don't have any reason for a debt collector to call, so this is ridiculous. We are also on the do not call registry. I wish we were better protected against intrusions into our lives/homes like this, because that is exactly what it is. Mail is one thing because it doesn't have to disrupt your life. A phone call that wakes a sleeping baby...ready to reach through the phone and strangle whoever is on the other end!!!

253-248-6426- keeps calling my house phone at all hours.  At least three times a day.  I am registered with no call. Never leaves a message.

My family is getting this call almost 10 times a day and caller ID says its from MRS, whatever the Hell that is

2 calls...10 mins apart..no message left. If I don't recognize a phone # I don't pick up...from what I have read here..I am glad I didn't.

Just got two calls from this numbr, ten minutes apart. . Not sure who they are. No answer when I answered. The second time I didn't answer and no message left.  I won't try to answer again.

i just got a call from this number. my number is on do not call. i dont know why they are calling me. missed call no voice mail.

I only have a cell phone, no home phone, or work phone.
Called me yesterday and I just now got a call from them like 2 minutes ago!
I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know so I didn't answer either time. No messages.
But my phone tells me its from Washington.
I usually search for numbers like this so I can see if it's from like a company that I've recently ordered something from but nope...

I TRIED TO CALL BACK AND IT SAID ..YOU HAVE THE WRONG CODE..SO IT MUST BE SOME KIND OF SCAM BECAUSE YOU CANT CALL THE NUMBER BACK..YOU DONT HAVE PERMISSION TO CALL ME NOW OR EVER AND STARTING IN FEB 09 YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE MY PERMISSION IN WRITING TO CALL. I have been getting calls from this number the last 3 days, sometimes back to back!!! Really frustrating.......if answered the call gets cut immediately.The caller id just reads 'verification frm'.
Somebody needs to file a case against these kind of people!!!!Nuisance.

I got a couple of calls from 253-248-6426.  Although that area code is Tacoma, WA, the call was from someone verifying that my new subscription to the Dallas Morning News has been delivered.  This number must belong to a call center.

got the call three times today on my cell phone.  don't know who it is...
