I got a call from this number at 1256am.  I didn't answer it because the ringer was off and I missed the call.  Why would they call me at 1:00 in the morning?

STOP calling

Rec'd a call from guy with heavy accent who said the gov't was giving me $7K grant. He gave me another # to call which was 205.419.8030 to discuss how to receive my grant in cash. I didn't call the $ but i know it's a scam.

It's a scam I keep getting different calls from different numbers my mom works for the attorney generals office and says its a scan, blow a whistle or scream real load and they will stop calling.

Received a call from US Grants, I couldn't understand the caller.  Heavy Indian accent.  She said she would get her supv. I just hung up.

Got this scam tonight at 7pm Eastern. Impossible to understand indian woman. Played it out until they started asking for info, then told them this was a scam and not to contact me again.

I received a phone call from 253-343-7176 yesterday at 1505.  I did not answer, they did not leave any message.  I then received a call only 7 minutes later from 360-565-6645, this call came in at 1512.  This call was like the first, I did not answer, they did not leave a message.  I am wondering if they are from same person, just different phone?

An very nice Asian lady, in who her English accent was very hard to understand. She called me by name and had all of my mailing information, which she 'verified' with me near the end of the conversation.  She said the federal government was giving me a grant of $7000 to those to be spent 'correctly for education and such, not for gambling or wine. She gave me the verification Number and a phone number to call her boss or someone, Albert Scott at a different number to claim it in one of four ways, your bank account, visa card, mastercard, or cash.  I asked her a question about whether or not it was to be on a separate account (of one we don't have) and all she did was repeat the question.  The background on her end was VERY Noisy with probably a lot of other people calling a lot of other citizens. (it sounded like the noise level of a casino, except with telephones ringing and a lot of loud muffled talking on the other end).  I also called back (the same number like Groache on this website) and got the recorded message that it was not a working number.  

I was going to actually call the number, but after searching it at google: Government grant $7000, I read that it was a scam, and checking this number out on whocallsme.com, I have changed my mind. Thanks guys for saving me from a scam.

I received call and it says that I won 7000 USD grant. and i need to call back on 206 317 1478 and talk with Patric Parker. .. it's scam and wants to get money from me and they asking for 300$ to give them. that person also told me that he can increase amount up to 15000USD or more. they can send me cash also.

By the way, she asked for me by name, so she seemed to know who she was calling.

Young Asian female caller with very pleasant voice said her name was "Christy" and she was calling from the federal government, then the call disconnected. I called back and got the recorded message that it was not a working number.

Why do scammers call ? & then hang up

Received a call this morning today (a saturday) from this number saying that we have been selected for $7000 grant from US Govt Dept of Grants.

I knew it was an absolute fake call because,
I believe no government agency calls on a Saturday
No government agency calls to inform on grants but usually sends a grant letter and information on further steps.
No one sanctions grants unless applied for.
The message, the verbiage, the language and the accent of the lady caller was suspicious.
She kept on repeating the same message over and over without listening to my concerns.
She doesn't have basic knowledge of official communication in English.
She took my wife's name and without actually asking for my wife kep on talking about the grants. Any government agency would first verify the credentials before disclosing any information.

I got the same call.. When I said I wasn't interested...he said but it's $7,000...why not?  I told him that his accent was too thick and if MY government wanted to give me money they sure as hell would not have some call center in India calling to tell me about it...he hung up....

I just had a call ,and was offered 7000 Dollar,I;am shure,this are the biggest Scammers,we should take them all,and kill off this SOB,s Scammers.

Took a phone call from a woman yesterday that said I have been selected to receive a 7000 grant from the US government because I pay my bills on time, file my taxes on time and bc I have not filed bankruptcy. All I had to do was call Janet Morris at 215-310-5806 and give my conformation number. So I called and she told me that all I had to do was deposit 330 into an account and my 7000 plus my deposit will be released today! I told her that I did not have the money and if I could come up with it I would call her back. Today I got a call from 4278. A foreign man was on the other end and said " you have been selected to receive a grant for the government and we are waiting for you to come up with the money right?" I told him I do not have the money. He then said well can you come up with 175? And we can release 3500 today. I told him no to take the deposit out of the 7000 and send me the rest. He didn't like that! And wanted to know how long it was going to take to come up with the money. I then told him I thought this was a scam and thought it was pretty funny that I was being pressured to give money for money that I have been selected to receive!! He said oh ok you think it is a scam, i will cancel your money. And hung up on me!

All people were foreign! Very pushy! And THIS is CRAZY!!!!

Igot a call tryed to answer and it hung up , I called it back and said thr number was disconnrcted or no longer in service ,  Im tired of scammers  they have got to be stopped !!!!!!!

Correction they sent me to the FTC 877-382-4357 and fyi I was called by a Michelle and then sent to Roger both were not of the US to put it lightly, also I asked what department he was in and he told me the human dept. "never knew we had one of those" anyway FTC took my information and what little I had to offer on the scammers. The more that calls on this the quicker they will do something about it

also I contacted the FBI they informed me you have to report it to the FCC 888-225-5322

I just got the call and they asked me for i was at work and didnt have time the next words outta this punks mount was f you and he hung up so then I called the number back and it said it was disconnected which has brought me to here. No self respecting company is gonna have a potty mouth like that working for them.

When I call this number back operator says, "i'm sorry your call can not be completed as dialed"

just got the call now and didn't answer, i never do unless i recognize the number.  it was a women who said hello three times, very annoyingly slow and high pitched. I could also hear background noise, possibly television.

Got the same message -- from an Indian woman (from India)... named "Shiloh" that was calling -- and I told her that "It sounds too good to be true, and it probably is" and then I hung-up. WTF!!!!

I received the same call today, but they hung up as soon as I answered.  Thanks for the warning.  I also find it interesting that I have been getting emails from someone claiming that I have $1000 dollars in grant money waiting for me to claim. I'm thinking that this information was sourced from a phony website that I stumbled upon while searching for information on student loans.
