repeating comments from another person Call came in while we were out.  No message left, but from the number, I suspect its one in a series of "Free Cruises/Free Alarm Systems/Lowered Interest Rates" SCAMS.

When I'm by the phone, I try to pick up/hang up to break the call and, hopefully, 'confuse' the robodialer.  Seems to help cut down on the number/frequencies of these calls.

ALL SPAM and most likely ALL SPOOFED, meaning they are NOT really originating in Washington, Oregon and ANYWHERE on AMERICAN SOIL.  OVERSEAS CRIMINALS, but most likely CONNECTED TO AMERICAN MEGA RICH CRIMINALS.

Call and hangs up.

Recorded message left on voice message service.  Went to the Do Not Call site and registered a compliant.

Google transcribed the message as this:

...Break in every 15 seconds. your local police recommend you protect your home. If you allow us to Place a small sign in your yard. We will install a new security system at absolutely no cost to you whatsoever. There is no cost for this system or the installation whatsoever. to hear more press one now. to be placed on our do not call list, press 9.

And these are not really 'telemarketers', THEY ARE CRIMINAL SCAMMERS/FRAUDSTERS

Just got the same thing on my home phone....I did not answer, and they hung up on the machine..

I also recently got a call blocker -- greatest thing ever.  Just blocking the 5-6 worst offenders has made life much more peaceful around here.

Called today, and the day before that, and the day before that. No answer when it rings. No message left. These sons of guns should have their doors kicked in and be arrested.

These scumbags called my number 15 mins ago. I never answered the calls that I didn't recognize the numbers. I ran a google search and found this page. I set my phone to forward the calls from these scumbags to the local Sheriff office from now on.

Called, I didn't answer, and they did not leave message.  Another scam I presume.

I received a call like most of you and and no one answered. Caller ID was...  Cell Phone Call.

So after reading your comments, I called Verizon from TX to ask how to add the number to a rejection list and they said there is no way for them to block an Out of state calls or 800 calls, but I can call a Nuisance Bureau. 800 518  5507 to report this number. How do you reject numbers?

It's another in the long series of alarm scam calls.  Most of these appear to originate from Washington state or Oregon.  But with number spoofing ability, there's no real way of knowing where they are calling from.

This scam trend has been going on for awhile.  NEVER agree to anything they offer.  If possible, do not even pick up the call if you are home.  If you do, they'll know its a "live" number.

The Do Not Call list is a joke.

Called and hung up. First time for me. Now they probably think they have a live one.   NOT.

when I answered the phone a female voice said: Hi this is Heather and I need to confirm delivery of a cell phone to your address. I don't order cell phones this way and besides I never ordered what the recording is specifying.I buy directly from the store that actually sells to consumers, like , Verizon, Metro Pcs, ,At&T, to name a few. This has to be a scam, especially using a recording.

Calls, but leaves no message. ID says "Customer Service," but is not any company I have ever done business with. Receive numerous calls from similar number - just a few digits difference - that are reported to be from a collections scammer in Washington state.

WHY in the  %&$# did you answer a call from someone you don't know.  The name "cell phone" is a computer generated name.  You also seen the phone number.  The DO NOT CALL LIST means nothing.  These people do not request or pay for the list from the government. You should NEVER CALL BACK or press any buttons on the phone.  You are just falling into their trap that the phone number is working and that you  are home.  The reason for all of these  F%$#&%$ phone call is because people answer them and listen to them and some even send money.   They use names like ADA (American Diabetes Assn, AHA (American Heart Assn., etc.  If you want to send a donation to some organization-YOU CALL THEM.  Good luck on the next bunch of phone cals you will be receiving from these people now that they know you are hooked

Another telemarketer, have reported, no apparent enforcement of "Do Not Call"

**yawn**  Another scam call from the 253 area code.  

Caller ID Name says: "CELL PHONE CALL".  Hint: Legitimate telco name is "wireless caller" when the name isn't available.  Apparantly the spoofers aren't able to use legitimate telco names.

Went to answering machine.  No message left.  Added that phony name to my block list.

Left no message on the machine, caller ID says from Tacoma, WA

Called for the first time to my home phone but didnt leave message. Caller ID says "CELL PHONE CALL". Will add to rejection list

I just got a call a few minutes ago.  I did not answer and they left no message.  Caller ID said Cell Phone Call.

I answered, and got a recorded message saying that if I agreed to place a small sign in my yard, they would install a security system absolutely free. Just what I want - security from a company that has no qualms about breaking federal laws by auto-dialing people on the no-call list.

Just added them to my call rejection list.  I'll have my cousin find them and kill them.  He needs a hobby.

They call and don't leave message. Caller ID reads Cell phone Unknown caller.
