If they were legitimate, they wouldn't need to use a proxied domain registration in order to make it so that you can't see who is really behind the organization. If it was a legitimate organization, they would have valid contact information available, and a physical address listed. That information appears nowhere on their website, or domain registration.
It is a 100% scam. Don't bother going to the web site and entering your phone number. All that does is confirm to them that your number is valid so they can keep harassing you.

I repeatedly get calls from a 253-382-9912 number. I signed up for the DO NOT Call list, and it is useless. I get more unsolicited calls than before. Who is this????

Caller ID says unknown name. Did not answer. They do not leave a message. But every time I block, they use another number.. looked number up and it says from QWEST Corporation in Washington.
They have used, 253-382-9999, 253-382-9912, and 253-382-9958. I SURE HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO BLOCK 9000 CALLS!!

These people (and their phone robots) are the most annoying thing I have come across in a while! I am now up to 69 calls from their various numbers! Here is what we know:
1- Don't waste your time with the DNC registry. That is a crock of doo-doo! Obviously, it does nothing!
2- You are not talking to a real person when you do answer. I have tried answering on a few occasions and hear the same recorded responses to whatever I say. I thought I would get off of their list by saying "yes" to agreeing to have a sign placed in my yard in exchange for a security system. (because the robot said if I was interested, I would be contacted by a sales rep) That got me to the next menu where the robot wanted to confirm that I own my home. I said "no" and he repeated the question. The second time I answered "no," it said thank you and hung-up. I thought that would be the end of it! I have had 5 more calls since then!
3- They will NOT stop calling! 69 calls over a 6 month period and still going!
4- Blowing a whistle in a robot's ear will probably do nothing!
5- The people behind this are stupid! Would any of you do ANY kind of business with a "company" that starts the relationship by annoying the hell out of you? If I had a robot calling people, it would be smart enough to realize after a few dozen calls, maybe the people at that number aren't interested! But then again, if these people had any working brain cells in their heads, they would have legitimate jobs doing something productive!
6- Here are the related numbers I have received calls from. I know they are related by the call times.
253-246-8515
253-246-8564
253-246-8573
253-382-9051
253-382-9912
253-382-9937
253-382-9953
253-382-9978
Occasionally, a "1" may appear before the area code.
7- Read #1 again. Stop wasting your time with the DNC registry!

1. Don't press any numbers to confirm it's a live phone number.
2. File a complaint with the FCC: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
3. File a complaint with the law firm pursing a class action lawsuit against these scammers": http://www.shulaw.com/About-Us/Investigations ... ons-of-America/

This is just another scam call!! Go to page 18 on this reported number and go down to the 4th. listing by Buster Phishing Scam on May 5th. 2012 and the listing hits the nail on the head about this scam!!
It also shows all the numbers that these scammers have used in the past!! These scammers are not using the "Do Not Call List" they are using a robo caller computer system that all crooks use!!
Block the latest number used from your phones and report it!!

Call me in SoCal. I don't answer calls from area codes I don't recognize. Some kind of scam, no doubt!
| MakeSense 2012-05-07 19:26:57 Unknown |
Why do any of you answer calls from phone #s that you don't recognize? I DON'T!!!! The way I look at it, if it IS someone that I know, and it is important, they will either leave a voice mail message or send me at text message. Either way, I get a recorded message, and I decide whether to make verbal contact or not, not the caller. If it is something I don't want to do, I delete the message. If they call repeatedly, I put them on my phone's auto reject list, and the calls go directly to voice mail without ringing. (BTW, they don't leave voice mail messages either.) Sometimes, it registers on my phone as a missed call. Since I NEVER answer, they eventually give up. BTW, my outgoing voice mail greeting is the system default. I DON'T ID myself. If I gave you my cell phone # personally, you'll know THAT way that you called the right person. If you're guessing or shooting in the dark, you'll have to keep trying; I'm not going to help you figure it out by having my greeting in MY voice or mentioning MY name in the message. Marketers and "surveyors", GOOD LUCK! GO FIND SOME OTHER SUCKER! I GAVE AT THE OFFICE, AND I DON'T WANT TO BOTHERED ON MY PERSONAL CELL PHONE!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the answer to all our prayers. I found this on a site I posted a telemarketer's number at. I tried it and it WORKS! I put the tones at the beginning of my phone greeting about three months ago and in the last three weeks have had "ZERO" calls. Whover posted that "THANK YOU, THANKI YOU". Here's what I found:
Telemarketers almost exclusively use autodialers to make their calls. One out of a thousand will have live reps doing the dialing. When these dialers connect (you answer the phone) they first listen for any tones generated. If no tones are detected they then transfer the call to one of the reps in a call center. If the autodialer hears the 3 beeps from dialing a "DISCONNECTED" number, the number that was just dialed is automatically "REMOVED" from their list. Below is a link that has this tone plus the verbal message. You DO NOT need the verbal message. Download or copy the "DISCONNECTED" MP3 or WAV file to your desktop. Create or change the greeting you have when someone calls you and you're not available. At the VERY BEGINNING of your message place the 3 tones (NOT THE VOICE MESSAGE) then continue with your usual or normal greeting. The autodialer will hear the tones and BINGO, your number will be removed since they think it's a disconnected number. DONE. In a few weeks you will be removed from all or most of the lists. Of course you may have to explain the tones to the callers you DO want to speak to but that's a small tradeoff. Pass this info on to anyone you know that gets junk calls or even help post this on these websites. If you continue getting calls after reading this, it's your "OWN" fault! END JUNK CALLS.

got the bahamian cruise scam with the fake political poll again on my cell phone for the third time this week, to add to the three times they've called on my land line. all told, i've gotten hundreds of calls from this outfit in the last few months.
thiis has become a living nightmare. Complaints to the FTC for violations of Do Not Call laws are a waste of time. It's clear that this particular outfit can continue to victimize the public including the elderly and diabled with impunity.
Can we go to court to FORCE the federal government to do its job, even if the company victimizing the public is on a Do Not Prosecute list?

I got this call w/ no msg. on my vonage line. FYI... calling back and "opting out" has the same result as clicking the "unsubscribe" button on a spam email: It confirms to them that you are a real person and they should keep your number/email on their list (which they are also probably selling to other spammers). Report the number and don't call them back.
