My husband is getting this phone number calling him an excessive amount of time even though we asked to be taken off the calling list.

call two or three times a day    do not answer.....do not want these calls  what can we do to stop them

Have added this number to my ever growing list of Spam numbers in my contacts folder. I have assigned each of the SPAMMERS a silent ringtone and have set up a dead voice mail box where the calls are dumped. The message (if they have the gonads to leave one) is automatically deleted within 24 hours. I do not deal with these fools nor do I give them the pleasure of a call back. I have found these calls started immediately once I posted my resume to Career Builder. Thank you Career Builder for nothing! I have never once recieved a call from a potential employer only calls from Spammers like this. Total B.S. I have deleted my account from Career Builder however it is too late as the SPAM calls continue. I can only assume my number has been sold to many telemarketers who operate out of an empty store front in some seedy neighborhood strip mall. Well, gotta go. I just recieved another SPAM call from another computer generated number and I will assign it as number 62 on my growing SPAM list.

I got a call from this number and when i answered the phone hung up. this number called me about 4 additional times but i am setting my phone to go straight to voice mail so that i wont be bothered.

I concur with all the other posts. Someone needs to investigate these numbers, particularly:
253-382-9935. I also have stopped answering if the number is not in my contact list. If it is important, they can leave a message.  This is ridiculous to get calls on our cell phone now. I got rid of my home phone because of all the sales and prank calls. Now they are bothering my cell. Can't anyone help?

The phone number is from Tacoma, WA, similar to other calls when no one is on the line and when you call back to ask them to take my phone off the do not call list, they call more often!

This number called me twice today, 30 minutes apart.
I do not answer my phone to any unknown numbers, and they never leave messages.
This outfit appears to have multiple numbers, so even adding them to my 'reject list' is futile.
I use a tracfone and pay by the minute.
I'm starting to think these calls are for the purpose of depleting my minutes.
I can not think of anything else.
I'm now wondering, the people who post here, are they also on a 'pay by the minute' plan?
I have also reported them several times to the 'do not call' complaint dept. which seems to be a waste of time.

I log into my cell telephone account on the internet and put a block on the number. If that number dials my number or if I dial the telemarketers number...... the Phone company Switch intercepts the call and plays a recording stating "You are unauthorized to make this call!" Problem solved.

My apologies folks. It was me making those calls. I thought I was dialing up my lunkhead sister. She keeps giving me the wrong number. I'll try not to let it happen again, and if it does, let me apologize in advance.

I've been receiving calls three times a day from this number.
The last time they called I held my cell phone to my butt cheeks and farted.
I'm hoping this will stop the incoming calls.

After first few calls, took their offer of deleting my number. However, they still call (couple of times per day). When I answer, the call disconnects, so have no means of stopping the calls. Any ideas on how to do so?

Have received 4 calls from this number in 2 days.  No message left.  Will try to block the number.

Try not answering.  I set my machine to 2 rings and have a rather aggressive message - they always hang up as soon as they hear the words "...legitimate caller..."  Hell, they can call all they want, won't ever be answered.

I do not agree with this response. I am not in debt and owe no one except my mortgage company, and I'm up to date on that.

I have asked callers from 253-382-9935 FOUR times to take me off their call list. I keep getting calls. Please tell me how to make this stop.

I just told them I was a renter and not the owner.  Hopefully that will stop them.

My experience is somewhat the same as above.  I just put the phone down several times until it hung up.  That was when I was getting James, or Jason, or whatever.  I never talked long enough to know what they were selling.
Now I get a number of 'abandoned' calls every day. Have filed complaint with AGO of Washington and an online complaint with the FCC.  Suggest you all do the same.

Been getting several calls a day from this number.  I remember the guy who mentioned family protection services.  At first I just kept putting phone down until they hung up.  Now the calls come & there's nothing there.  It is BEYOND annoying!

This number (253) 382-9935 calls me 3 or 4 times a day. Nobody says anything

If this continues, I would recommend www.truecall.co.uk It sounds like the perfect tool to handle the calls you do want and block the calls you do not. I have had one for 3 years this year, and have not regretted, what I thought was a large, initial outlay. If you have call to refuse and all those other call handling/blocking services from your phone provider, you will see this unit pay for itself in no time at all. Since you will not need the services anymore. This unit has made a tremendous difference to my life, and my sanity. ;)
