It's illegal to solicite to a cell phone in my state. I do not give my cell phone number out to businesses as I only use this cell phone for emergency use only. Reporting this caller

If you can't block incoming calls you can collect the numbers and add them to your contacts then choose a "silent" ringtone. That way when they call it doesn't ring. Just a thought.

There is a Political Do Not Call List that you can get on easily. Of course, it is voluntary and only the most legitimate politicians will use it, since the self-interested campaign managers usually convince their candidates that you "have to" robocall and try to keep them from finding out how it can backfire. They probably get kickbacks from the robocall companies.. Nonetheless, putting yourself on this list may help make it more popular to the point where candidates will have to care. http://stoppoliticalcalls.org/index.php
Any real politician who doesn't respect you enough to not call you if you don't want a call doesn't deserve your vote. I suggest everyone take a pledge "you robocall me--you lose my vote" and make sure the politicians know it.

What the actual (not fake) political organizations need to know is that there are many of us who will make a point of NOT voting for their candidate if we get a robocall from them. There are many other ways of communicating that do not invade our privacy: run a radio commercial, a newspaper ad, send a postcard, etc.
By the way, I would make a point of voting for a candidate who promised to tighten up the do not call laws, including eliminating the political exemption!

These people (and their phone robots) are the most annoying thing I have come across in a while! I am now up to 69 calls from their various numbers! Here is what we know:
1- Don't waste your time with the DNC registry. That is a crock of doo-doo! Obviously, it does nothing!
2- You are not talking to a real person when you do answer. I have tried answering on a few occasions and hear the same recorded responses to whatever I say. I thought I would get off of their list by saying "yes" to agreeing to have a sign placed in my yard in exchange for a security system. (because the robot said if I was interested, I would be contacted by a sales rep) That got me to the next menu where the robot wanted to confirm that I own my home. I said "no" and he repeated the question. The second time I answered "no," it said thank you and hung-up. I thought that would be the end of it! I have had 5 more calls since then!
3- They will NOT stop calling! 69 calls over a 6 month period and still going!
4- Blowing a whistle in a robot's ear will probably do nothing!
5- The people behind this are stupid! Would any of you do ANY kind of business with a "company" that starts the relationship by annoying the hell out of you? If I had a robot calling people, it would be smart enough to realize after a few dozen calls, maybe the people at that number aren't interested! But then again, if these people had any working brain cells in their heads, they would have legitimate jobs doing something productive!
6- Here are the related numbers I have received calls from. I know they are related by the call times.
253-246-8515
253-246-8564
253-246-8573
253-382-9051
253-382-9912
253-382-9937
253-382-9953
253-382-9978
Occasionally, a "1" may appear before the area code.
7- Read #1 again. Stop wasting your time with the DNC registry!

No Call List means No Calls. Political is even worse. I have a land line for that, which is also on the Do Not Call list, but at least it doesn't cost me every time I answer it like my cell phone does.

I don't usually answer unknown numbers. I was expecting a call at the time and
I answered without looking. It was received on my cell phone. If we go
over my minutes (unlike ATT), I pay more each month even if I am receiving the
call. If they call back I will turn this number in to the FCC. I am also on a
do not call list for land line and cell phone.

I received a call from this number as well. I took the survey and then they transferred me to someone who is offerring a free 2 day cruise. I listen and at the end of his spill, he asks for my credit card number to pay for an inexpensive boarding fee before he sends me my free cruise in the mail. I told him to take a flying leap and hung up. Typical scam to get your credit card info!

Unsolicited call to me from this number. Does the Federal Communications Commission have a way to file complaints about phone spammers?

Get Google Voice and ONLY use that number. Then you can white list your phone instead of trying to black list every bad number out there. Not to mention spoofed numbers that do not give a damn about the do not call list. Oh and when enough report a number on GV they filter them automatically just like email. Of course if your number is already on the pigeon lists you will need to change it too. But rotating your cell and/or home number becomes simple when everyone has your GV number since it forwards just the calls you want to all your private phones. Personally I think any phone provider should have provide at least the filters GV does. You might want to ask why they don't.
At least GV is free. And stopping phone spam is just one part of the service.

Oh yes they will. Up to 4 numbers can be listed

Regarding unwanted calls:
I read a brilliant idea on how to mess with these guys.
Keep track of the number that sends you an unwanted call and then go online and create a "fake" person using a "dead end" hotmail or yahoo account and fill out as many offers for free stuff, sucker offers, etc., applying the saved phone number as your fake guy's number.
Now, the original guy will get buried by TONS of other idiots going after him with thier offers...
Just a fun concept that makes me smile every time I fill out another form...
