Filing a DNC complaint with the FTC **DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING**.  The FTC **DOES NOT** enforce the DNC rules.  Their own FAQ web site (http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm) says: "What happens to my complaint?
Do not call complaints will be entered into the FTC?s Consumer Sentinel system, a secure online database available to more than 1,000 civil and criminal law enforcement agencies. While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint will help us investigate the company and could lead to law enforcement action."
So, your complaint goes into a "secure online database available to more than 1,000 civil and criminal law enforcement agencies".  In other words, it is a "Field of Dreams" enforcement.  The FTC builds this database and then hopes some law enforcement agency will act on it.  Yeah... right...  All of our law enforcement agencies have people sitting around saying "Gee, nothing going on here.  Why don't we check the FTC database and see if we can bust some telemarketers."   Sheesh!!  What a crock!

The **ONLY** way to stop this is to send a complaint to CONGRESS every time "Sarah" calls you.  Don't email Congress (most emails are ignored).  Fax them.  Get them to make the DNC law tougher, and get them to force the FTC to enforce the law.  Contact as many people in Congress as you can, and be persistent.  Let them know they will hear from you every time "Sarah" calls until they shut her (and her clones) down.

I received the same type of call from the exact same company, "Independent Survey Group." However, this call was from a completely different number, but still in the state of Washington (206 496-0960.) When I attempted to respond to the question by pressing numbers 1-4 on my phone, instead of accepting my answer, it would repeat the question over and over again. Finally, the call was disconnected. Very, very strange!  BTW, I am on the DO NOT CALL list as well, but I've heard that market research companies (as opposed to "telemarketers") are exempt from this law.

I get a call almost every day at suppertime for the last 2 weeks, very annoying.  I had to go throught the survey to talk to someone.  He said to get this site and take my number off.  How do I do that?

The recorded 'plastic voice' is using the name of Sara and is hawking a 3 day cruise for answering a survey.  She gives you the option of pressing 1 for their Sales Rep or opting out and removing your number  from their  files.

sales associate directed me to www.independentsurveygroup.org  which tried to install drive-by software on my PC but my security blocked it.  Domain name registered through a Panamanian Company.

Cell phone call.  Says Tacoma, WA.  Probably another survey.  I don't answer any unknown caller calls.

In the last 2 weeks I have received calls from the following numbers (the one time I answered it was to offer a free cruise.. I am on the DNC list... I did send an email to the law firm listed here in hope this information is helpful to stop these calls.. for what its worth here are the numbers - 253-382-9987 (twice)  360 529 6963, 360 529 6912, 410 312 8222, 253 382 9987, 360 474 3956

I think it is criminal that I pay for cell phone service only to be harassed by political surveys, spammers and telemarketers. I intend to report every one of them.

Caller ID reads "Pacific Tel" . I'm in Texas, so this is not my phone company.  They claim you will get a 3-day cruise for answering 5 political questions. Obvious scam. Robot call, not a human.

STOP CALLING ME!!!!

Got a call from this number today but didn't answer. Sometimes when these people bother me a bit I hit "TALK" on the phone,and hit the speaker button but do not answer it. The caller just gets to listen to the TV in the background or nothing. It's a game I like to play to see how long it will be before the caller hangs up. I usually hear "Hello? Hello?" The longest anyone has gone so far is 43 seconds. After this happens to the callers a few times they stop calling.

The CIA/NSA/DHS are calling to verify your phone's location.
They want to get to know you better - a lot better...
Why do you think the reason for the call is so nebulous? A mere distraction.
Before you've even answered it, they got what they were looking for.
It's just a shame that so many tax dollars are being squandered on this type of 'surveillance'.
Maybe I'm just paranoid. I would prefer that, anyway.

file a complaint with your phone company and the phone company in their area code. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the FCC. Both web sites have a drop down for doing this.

They called. I didn't answer. These a***oles need to get a life instead of calling random numbers. >:(

They called my cell phone on May 18th. I do not want anyone calling my cell phone for these surveys or telemarketing purposes. I do not know what else to do to stop them. It is extremely frustrating!!!

If you are registered with "National Do Not Call Registry" report every call you get.

THIS   NUMBER   CALLED  MY  CELL PHONE!!!.   It was POLITICAL  robo call that I received during peak cell phone hours.  I hung up as soon as I heard a female voice start making detrimental statements about all Washington, DC politicians.  I know political robo calls to cell phones are illegal.  To whom do I report this so no one else gets this nonsense?

This number calls my phone, i pick up and they do not answer. I wish they quit calling

Forgot to say they have called from (407) 454-9999.  ID said "Florida."

I sent the GPS coordinates to NORAD and on to missile defense contractor who will enter the data into the next drone attack.  Surprise.  Surprise.  Surprise.

If you stay on the call, they give you the option of declining the survey and having your number removed from their call list. Whether they actually remove the number or not remains to be seen. But, I was also getting the calls at work and on my cell phone. Very annoying.

Looked up the number on free phone tracer , took the lattitude and longitude from there and put it in Google Maps and the 253 number shows to be in Tacoma, Washington and the 360 number in
Olympia,Washington
