got a call last night from this number claiming he is working with the city to provide "free" home security due to the recent rash of breakins. I am reporting this to the police department.

I also have a new # .Before I even gave my 'private' # to my own family, we had these types of calls. It doesn't matter if I answer or not, they call back no matter what. The same 3 or 4 #'s call every day. What's the point if they know we aren't interested? why don't they leave a message, or hang up if I answer? It's pure harassment any way you look at it. We don't owe anyone money. It makes no sense.

They just called me for the 4th time today and I answered very quickly. They say they are a security company for my local area and I cut them off telling them in no uncertain terms to STOP calling me! I told them I had reported them because they had already called me 3 times today and have called me every day 7 days a week. What the heck? I just had my number changed after having the same phone number for over 12 years because of so many telemarketers and other bogus phone calls and now this? It just never stops.

I have been getting at least 1-2 calls a day 7 days a week from 253-515-8764. They do not leave a message and when I try to pick up they hang up. I have tried to track the number but, it is blocked. Sooooo..Annoying! I don't understand how they got my brand new number that is unlisted. I have had a call from this number 2 times already today within the last two hours and it's Saturday.

Most legitimate companies don't block their phone numbers, that's your first clue. I Googled the number and these 2 entries are the only ones Google displays, your second clue this is probably a scam attempt.

We (in Seattle) also just got a call from a Home Security company from this phone number. The name was not available from caller ID.

cold calling from some Home Security company. the caller id says name withheld.
