caller claims they are from a children's cancer fund org.  When I tried to speak, the recording just went on and on.

I had a message on the land line made at 2pm, hit the play and heard, "Hello, is Nida there?" nothing else. That is my real 1st name and most people pronounce it wrong. This one had it right. That's a touch scary seeing this is a not someone that really knows me.Caller ID shows Unknown Name.

Don't answer it when you get a call from 253-617-7338 (CHILDREN CANCER). BEWARE, it's a SCAM!!!!  They will ask for your donation and you will need to provide your Credit card information over the phone.

Called me and asked for me by name and said Children's Center Wanted to send me an envelope and would I "tuck something small into it?" I said no and she said "Have a good day" and hung up.

Caller ID said this was for Childrens Cancer. Answered with "Hello". Machine asked for the lady of the house. I hung up.

Received call, caller i.d. said "Children'sCancer". Picked up phone and hung up right away. Read an article in Consumer Reports that said to pick up and hang up right away. Pressing a number signals the autodialer that it has reached a live number and will lead to more calls. Hope this works! Sick and tired of all these calls . Am on do not call list too.

the caller id says childers cancer...if they are using that as a scam...sham on them.  The Lord us watching

Have received numerous calls from this number. Caller ID says "Children's Cancer". Did answer one time and nicely asked to be taken off their list. Didn't work. Can't call the number back, so I assume this is another scumbag scammer. Can't wait until Karma bites them in their backsides!

Rec'd a call at 3:20 PM on Sunday. Identified self as Children's Cancer. I replied that I'd had previous calls from same and asked them to remove my number as I choose not to support this particular charity. Called became aggressive and said her records showed that I had not donated at all. "These kids really need help. You need to donate at least $20." I said do not call back and hung up.

My caller ID showed a call from "Children's Cance" on 1/12/14 but they left no message. Three days later a woman called from 206-743-0918 saying she was with Children's Cancer  (...,  I didn't catch the rest of the name) so that number is part of the same scam.

She started out with my name, saying it as if she knew me, then immediately went into a super hard sell mode. When I tried to tell her to remove me from their list, she talked much louder and faster over me. I hung up. I'm also on the National Do Not Call List but these folks don't care about that. It's a clear scam.

Beware of Scams. Once you answer or call back, they know someone is connected to that number and will change identity until they get a hit..!

I wish they would make up their mind.  Mine said CHILDRENS CANCE, so I didn't answer.  I guess it doesn't matter what the caller ID says.  They are just out to get your money one way or the other.  They don't care as long as they get it.

Just got a call from this number.  They asked for me by my nickname.  I said hello and no one would answer.

Got a call from this number this Sunday evening about 8:30. This is a scammer for sure, but after doing research and reading a lot of comments from people who actually answered this call, a large number of the comments said the caller asked for someone by name and then said there was no message, and hung up. Use your common sense, people! These scammers are harvesting GOOD phone numbers! When they hang up when they have a potential fish on the line, doesn't that tell you something? I can see answering if someone doesn't have Caller ID, but it's best not to if you have CID and suspect the number is a scammer.

beware!!!  They are on the prowl again.  Children's Cancer Fund is what caller ID said.  Left no message.  They keep 99.99% of the money for themselves and the rest goes to friends.  Don't bother to answer the call or return the call.

Same thing here. They asked for my husband, I said "yes, he's here, may I tell him who is calling?" And she hung up.

Received a call Nov 3, 2013 at 8:00 pm , a female asked for my name and I replied this is Karen then she hung up.  How rude!!!!! What is the point?  Glad I am not alone!!!

Called the number and got a voice mail stating I had reached the Children's Cancer Recovery Foundation.  Goes on to say donations are tax deductible...

Recd a call from this number at 8:24 pm.  Do not know who it was.

Call from this number at 8:58 PM on 10/22/13.  Said Childrens Cancer on caller ID. Asked for my wife and I said sure just a second and the lady caller hung up.  Called the number back from my cell phone and got recording to donate.  I stayed on the line to tell them I am DNC and not to call again.  Just so tired of all of this type of call.  Where is our government that is supposed to help us?  I am DNC and am about harassed out of my land line I have had for 15 years.  I get calls daily from over 10 different numbers.

Cancer scam.  Blocking these stupid calls.  Finally there's peace from their crap. I did not realize how often they called being at work, but since I was home this summer, it became clear they call constantly!  Now phone rings once and goes into busy tone for these robo-callers, and I feel a personal sense of spiritual calm descend on me like nirvana.  Knowing those annoying a***oles get nothing but a busy signal no matter how often they call me makes me feel like I took a drug for erectile dysfunction!  LOL.

Just got a call this a.m.She said she wanted to know if I would give money for Children's Cancer. She said if I send you an envelope will you give us a check for $20 it would really help the children. Said I don't give money over phone but send one. I probably wont send any.  I told her  alot of these calls are scams and I'd check it out. She hung up pretty fast.

That number just called here and the Caller ID said CHILDRENS CANCER.  A charity?  Who knows?  I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message, etc.  Now my sleeping children will probably wake up (I'm trying to work and don't want them woken yet)!

just received a call from this number. They asked for a person, first and last name, who's been deceased over 6 years. I asked twice 'who is this' and they hung up.
The caller did not identify themselves or why they called; however it was 8:15 pm.

calls 3 to 5 times a day.  First time they called I heard the canned message and hung up.  Persistent low intelligent scammers, probably working for drugs....
