Getting calls from this number all the time. Same time of day. They use 253-245-2170 as well.

The number listed above calls me multiple times per day. I work from home and this is highly affecting my land line communications. PLEASE FIND OUT WHO THIS COMPANY IS AND MAKE IT STOP.

They are calling me every couple days, all different times of day. Also called from 253-245-2170. Sons of beez!   My phone is thru Shaw. I called them and they said that company has a lot of phone numbers so if you block one, they will just use another. He said the RCMP and the FBI know about them and are trying to track them down. They including Shaw, are working on it. He said best thing is to not answer the phone and eventually my # would get put on a list for "no one answering"

If you have been receiving the ANNOYING and repetitive phone call from 253-753-9059, know this!  This number IS from Fido's MARKETING DEPT. which is asking if you would like to "OPT out of" any promotional or marketing campaigns they may be offering.

I found this out by speaking with one of the Fido call center customer service people, who in fact did his job by calling the number and CONFIRMING that it was their MARKETING DEPT. and YES the
TACOMA, WA address which comes up below the phone number IS their HEAD OFFICE LOCATION.

I asked why would they not just "disclose" who they were and WHY!!!! they were calling and stop giving people such needless grief and frustration, he said he had NO ANSWER for that.  But now good citizens you too know WHO (the Jokers are) & WHY they do what they do, simply call your "LOCAL" Fido CS and tell them to take your name off the list ONCE and for all!!

Put up your feet have a cocktail of your choosing and KNOW all is well in Gotham once again!

Get this "foghorn" crap several times a day, usually in groups of three in a five minute timespan under three different numbers.

One way to make the idiots pay is to monitor the number, then let it go to voicemail, or pick up the receiver, let the message start then hang up.

If you just let it ring and ring then they don't have to pay for the call.

I used to get those calls, but, haven't for awhile. I even get them on my mobile phone???!!!

I started getting calls from this number a couple of weeks ago. It rings mid-morning and after 7pm. Most of these telemaking systems are totally computer driven. A client provided an audio and the area codes he wants covered to the service provider (SP). The SP usually has more than one client so its probable that you will get calls from a variety of products. The software to run these systems is comercially available. The SP rents a bunch of phone numbers with "call out" service only form the local phone company. That's why when you call the number its always busy. Its also why the numbers called from are sequential as you look through '800notes.com'.  The computer is programmed to randomly dial numbers in the area codes contracted for. If the number gets answered by a person or an answering machine the system flags it as "active" and stores it in a phoning data base. There is no one to contact to get your phone number removed. As for the surprise of getting a call on a new phone, remember phone companies are re-using numbers. With the very high demand for phone numbers, phone numbers can be reasigned within a week or two unless someone pays to have a "new phone number" message for a longer time. Hope this helps.

Yes, I have just started getting the same calls, usually around th dinner hour (Eastern Standard).  I do not answer, but it is still a nusance to get the calls.

Call the number back and there is an option to opt=out

I've been getting a call from this number several times a week, this started approx 3 weeks ago, it had stopped for a while for approx 4 Months and now it is starting again, sometimes it is from different area codes.
I do not answer my phone when it comes from a different area code, at one time they would call and hangup and call again 3 times in a row, this is very annoying.

This number calls all day long.  The intro is a fog horn and some cheesy captain speech.  I have called back and it directs me to be taking off the calling list my following a few steps and then they will take your number off the calling list..THIS DOES NOT WORK...I HAVE DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES.

Auto Message. Starts off with a fog horn blowing (ya, because legit calls start that way right?!?) followed by, "This is your captin calling." Then tells you that you can win a free trip if you do their survey.  No option to decline, so you can only hang up and repeat the process when they call again, they need to stop calling this is a business phone

Did the stupid survey and operator came on and I told her to take my BUSINESS # off there list... she said she was transferring me to the DO NOT CALL list dept and then hung up!  WTF... Going to report to FCC

Receive a call daily. Never answer. Just pulling my string. I worry about emergency family calls  but have to put up with this crap.

This number has been calling me for 2 days in a row just as I'm trying to leave the office on my BRAND NEW company cell phone.  I have just printed my new business cards to reflect the new number but have not even handed any out.  How did they even get this number so quickly.  Using FIDO system in Canada.  Calls on both days are between 5 and 5:15pm.   Very annoying and reading some of these posts it sounds like I can expect this call to continue everyday??  There should be a way to report these issues to the phone company that has set up their number so that the phone company can do the responsible thing and cut them off (of course that would mean less business so I don't really see that happening, but one can hope!)

Getting calls between. 2. And 230 every for 3 days they no messages

They keep changing their number, it is always the cruise ship blow horn, i called back and pressed a digit for no more calls from another number over a week ago...

If you call the number back it will allow you to register your phone number so they won't call you back.

They have been calling me about twice a day every day for about two weeks. So annoying.

These people call and never say anything. They need to stop and go away!!

Given the number of calls people recieve from nerds like this company - and keep on and on with different numbers, without being stopped by the authorities - one can but woinder why we have governments who are supposed to stop this sort of harrassment. Duct companies, computer scams, this is your captain, surverys ( you participated in a survey seems to be latest tactic) are all in the same class of people who should be cut off by the telephone companies concerned.  perhaps we should all be saying to telephone companies - STOP these calls or we will stop using telephones.  Right now they don't care as they get their money - wonder how many execs at these companies get the same annoying calls.
I refuse to answer any call that i do not know - and especially those saying Unknown Caller - I also stop my phone ringing and simply check voice mail if the light goes on.  get caller ID and do not answer unless you know the caller - IF it is someone who really needs to get in touch they will leave a message. And any call that comes through with a tel #, get enrolled with CRTC and report every call.  I have noticed a reduction in calls, and now report every one  that shows a tel number. A nuisance yes - but hopefully justice will prevail!!!

That filthy company deserve to get shut down beyond recovery.

Yes!  Same here!  This telemarketer had my brand new cell phone number within two days of my getting the number.  They had started calling then, two years ago, and have not stopped. They will not stop!
(Unsure how they had gotten my number so quickly, as I do not publish it anywhere and I do not  give it out to anyone outside of 8 close firends, family. I have a separate line for other calls. I did get my cell number from Verizon.  Did Verizon share my number with this company?  Unsure, but seems odd, doesn't it?)

They say they are selling ship cruises.  They will not stop calling.  They had started as soon as I had my new cell phone number, two years ago, and continue to this day.  They refuse to stop calling.  Not sure how they had my cell number as soon as I had gotten the number assigned to me.
