This same number is calling telling me that they are a law firm and that I owe money on a former mortgage loan I skipped out on.  Funny thing is I never owned a home.  So I called back and the same guy answered and asked about his computer and which state is was from he said New Jersey.  Not with that area code I told him.  He called back 4 more times asking for different people who also worked here.  IDIOT.

The DO-NOT-CALL COMPLAINT website is a total waste of time.  They do absolutely nothing with your complaint. The best thing to do is answer the call for one second and then hang up. That way they can't leave a recorded message.  If it is a legit call, they will call you back. They never are legit. A computer dials your number at random so the call scammer doesn't know who he/she is talking to and can't call you back if you hang up.  Of course, whether you answer or not, your number will be recognized by the scammers program as a working number so you will probably be called again.  Just not right away like a legit caller would.

I just got a call...essentially they are trying to get on your computer and charge you for virus removal.  We kept them on the phone for 20 minutes.  Pretended we didn't know a thing about computers.  Him: "What do you see on your screen?"  Me:  "It is all black"  Him:"Turn it on"  Me:  "How do I do that?".....it went on this way and he was very patient until we told him that our power went out and asked him if he'd like to wait until it came back on!

July 20,2013 - Received call from Alex (Indian accent) from 253-802-0309 saying he was from Microsoft Windows support. I told him we were not interested, and he persisted in talking and asking why we were not interested. I told him that he had called 2 days previously and not to call my number again. He continued and again asked why. I got mad and said he should stop acting like an a****le and go back to Mumbai. That is when he called me a
mother****er. I hung up. He called back and called me the same name. I hung up again. He called back a third time and my wife picked up and he swore at her. She hung and he called back a 4th time after she told him that we had written down his number.

I live in Switzerland. This number has been blocked on my phone for some time. They are still calling almost every day. They claim to call from Microsoft and advise me to protect my PC aginst some terrible virus or something. Yes, they are very persistent, only one way to shut them up: Cut!
I feel sorry for some unsuspecting people who may fall for their lines of BS.

i distract them, act like im not all there in the head. i make excuses, im doing something, bear with me etc. until im finished. then when they get frustrated i start talking about having to finish banking transaction online or something government (make them think im nuts and that i have personal info in front of me) they will immediately change their tune and be patient. its too funny to monitor their change of manner when they think they are getting somewhere. in the end i tell them my names something very strange so they cant understand it, end up spelling my name as something rude like dumb $%?&. try it, its quite entertaining. i agree that if enough of us really put effort into making their lives miserable we can maybe save someone else who may be more valnurable. the longer we keep them on the phone, the less time they have to spend victimizing someone else

i live in ontario canada. my call from the number was an east indian woman claiming to be from microsoft. she went on to tell me that they are recieving reports that "my" computer was infected. i said "really, my computer? and you know this for a fact that it my pesonal computer?" she said yes, maam, your computer, open it and i will show you trojan viruses in it. i asked how she knew it was my computer, she said because of the warning messages they are recieving. i said so you would have to be able to tell me my ip address at the least to verify this? she started to stumble over her worlds and i just laughed and said, "do you know how rediculous this sounds? i told her ive been phoned for alot of scams but this is too funny, you ppl should get real jobs insteading of scamming and preying on innocent people" needless to say she hung up. the best is when they want personal info....i say my name quickly so they cant understand it until they ask me to spell it, then i spell something expicit and rude to say bugger off....oooooh do they ever get mad lmao. they waste alot of ppls time, i like to waste theirs in hopes that if i keep them on the phone for 10 min, i may have saved someone else that may be valnurable alot of grief/money.

Indian sounding lady said she was calling from England and that she wanted to guide me thru a cleaning on the computer. I asked from where she was calling. She said from Window Tech Office. After I said that I am not running on Windows she hung up.

Middle eastern accent gentleman saying I had something wrong with my computer.  I told him I had already received these calls many times and to quit calling.  He said he would continue to call again and again.  I told him he better think twice as I would report him and that I was on the do not call list.  Which by the way no longer seems to work.

3 days in a row I got 4 or 5 calls each day from them in a 2 hour period. Once I counted they let the phone ring 20 times. Thank God the other days I was not at home to hear that. My leg hurts so sometimes I don't answer and will check caller ID to call someone back later.  I saw Caller ID sometimes said "Unknown Caller " or "Fraudster"

Got a call from a man with a heavy accent. He said he was from Microsoft and that I had let hackers on my computer and that they were sending out all kinds of messages. That Microsoft was not responsible for this and that it must stop. I then yelled at him that I was not responsible for what hackers were doing. He said I had to sit down in front of my computer immediately and fix it or he was going to disconnect my computer. I told him I was at work, he said go home now and fix the computer. I said I could not leave work to go and fix my computer. He said he would call back in a couple of hours. I then talked to my computer guy and he said it sounded like a scam to get access to my computer. I then typed that number into the computer and found this site. These guys must have a huge operation to be reaching this many people. At least he didn't cuss or was filthy with me like some other people have reported. I am grateful for sites like this that let me know it was a scam.
Thanks

They called yesterday, I didn't pick it up since I didn't know the number. The answering machine picked up and the Indian guy was talking to it like it was a real person. I expect his supervisor was standing right behind him. He said you have a virus and then paused and then said f&^k off and hung up.

A man with a thick Asian accent (with loud call center noise in background) said my computer had virus or something. When I said please take me off your call list, he said twice to me, "You have very sexy voice, I want to f**k you."  I hung up and tried to caller ID the number but carrier says it is invalid.  How ON EARTH do we protect ourselves and our children from this kind of vicious sexual predator?!?!  I am seriously upset.  Also, I filed an online report with our police department.  Please say a prayer for this animal to stop!!

Reggie... that is all well and good BUT they just call you back from a different number... I have now 27 numbers that they have called from.............

I have gotten 10 calls over 3 days with variations of the number but all claiming the same thing.........  now I just don't pick up the phone if I see any variation of the number.    IF you ARE CANADIAN and get these calls you can call, 1-888-495-8501  and report the call and numbers to them.   They are the Canadian scam center.     I record every number that calls me and call that number and pass it on to them  :)
You would not believe how many people though that are out there that fall for this scam.....  that is why they keep calling.
They should have SCAM listed in the """Call Type"""  ... just say'n ;)

I received a call from 0112538020309. I've lived out of the US before and know that to make an international call you have to dial 011 to get out of the country. I've also been in telemarketing long enough to know how things work regarding what phone number will show up to the caller.  Here's how it works. There's a computer "dialer" with a list of phone numbers weather they're real like from the phone book, or just a list of sequential numbers (i.e. ending in 1001, 1002, 1003, etc.) As the "dialer" keeps working, in an effort to keep the flow of business going with calls, and so the calls being made don't get jammed and interrupted, a separate phone number is set up with an answering machine to take the incoming calls. The phone number that shows up on called ID is a number that has been redirected to SHOW on all caller ID's... when that is not the actual number that's calling you. it's similar to how website addresses can be re-directed to another website. like my insurance company for example. I type in www.BCBSAL.com and it redirects it to https://www.bcbsal.org/web/index.html.   Needles to say, that job was stressful for me and I quit. however I learned a lot.  If you get a recorded telemarketing call, legally they must give an opt out option. ALWAYS OPT OUT to get on THEIR do not call list. it does not matter if you're on the National Do Not Call Regestry, you need to be on THAT BUSINESS'S  SPECIFIC DO NOT CALL LIST.  Whenever I get called and talk to a live person, I just say "Please add me to your do not call list, thank you" and hang up. UNTIL THEY GET EITHER YOUR VOCAL REQUEST OR "Sellect 2 or 9 (whatever) to be removed from further calls"  They will continue to call until they get an answer from you. so it benifits you to listen for a minute to get on their do not call list. Annoying, yes, tedious, yes. otherwise just don't answer.
