They will track them down.  They need as much information as possible and the more people that complain, the more attention they will give the scam.
They claimed to Microsoft and attempted to gain access to my computer when they spoke with my wife.

REceived a call from this number today. A guy who gave his name as "Brad Willis" but had a very heavy accent that was difficult to even understand.  Said he was from the "Technical Dept." and was calling about my Wiindows operating system.  When I asked "Technical Department of what?" he used the word "cyber," but what he was saying was mostly unintelligible and made no sense.  I could also hear many voices in the background.

He said my computer was sending lots of warnings and error messages and they were giving me a call to take care of this, but that I would have to go to my computer and stay on the line with him so he could fix it.of it.  When I refused, he said that if I didn't my computer would fail and I would lose all my data and my software wouldn't work.  I kept telling him that I wasn't going to do this now and he demanded that I give him a time to call back.  I told him he would have to send me something in writing to explain what he was talking about because I had never heard of him.  Then he asked if I were insulting him by saying I had never heard of him and so I simply said I was not going to talk to him any more and hung up.

The joker asked for my husband and I asked what it was in reference to and he said it was a cyber company, and I said, "You know what? It isn't. So get me off your list." and then I hung up. My husband works for a major computer company and does not use any outside source for anything pertaining to our computers. Total scam. Our # is also on the national DNC registry. I answer the phone so I can be rude to them and blow them off--that way they at least stop calling.

These guys are professional hackers.  They will lock up your machine, and then extort money from you to "repair" it.  Microsoft does not call people in this fashion.  I spoke with Microsoft customer relations about his issue as well.

HARASSING CALLS MULTIPLE CALLS PER DAY OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME.

My mother has been receiving these calls, I blocked it on the Verizon website but this is only for 90 days. Somehow someone has to know what is being done. Thankfully I found this site too so I can tell her to ignore the calls from that number. Sad, they will only get another number and start up again with someone else.

Scam artists...threaten to rape my wife, and asked for her by name. Accent is either Indian or Pakistani...caller expressed interest in homosexual intercourse when I told him my wife was unavailable for his offer. I promptly declined. This scum is not worthy of God's praise, the scammers get excited ripping off stupid Americans, but in the end they still live in some rat hole, and should be delegated back to the stone age hence they came. Shameful in any culture, beheading is too good a fate.

Yep ... they called me too and I asked them for the MAC address of the computer they were so interested in since I have six computers online. The "non-native" so and so asked me what a MAC address was. Needless to say, I told him to kiss my you-know what.

I've had at least 4 calls in the last few weeks, always telling me my computer is being attacked. A few times I've played along for a while and then hung up? Today  they had a new angle. They said that my husband had paid them $199.00 for their services and the service department was now closing and did we want our money back. I told him we had never paid anything to Microsoft, but he insisted and told me they had all my husbands information. So I said if they have all the info, just send the money back, but he said it didn't work that way. So I said that I know it was a scam and hung up. Beware of new scamming method.

This number continues to call on a daily or weekly at least...basis.  I know for a fact it's a scam!!! I actually have someone that works for 1stopearcade.com named Sean that helps me with viruses and such in my computer.  They do this remotely. But I have been dealing with them for years and I trust them completely!!   and they are trying to figure out who these folks are too.  I just called him today and he said these people switch location so much that its really hard to figure who they are.  So any information I come up with I am forwarding to them in hopes they will find out who these people are and get them off of our backs!!!!
But in my case.... Instead of the Indian guy telling me I have viruses....he is telling me that Microsoft owes me a refund for the $269.00 life-time anti-virus software (which I really purchased from 1stop) I purchased from them that is no longer running properly!!!   SMH...this guy must think I am stupid.  Of course, as soon as I hear that "there's a problem" I call the people at 1stop to make sure this guy isn't a scammer.  And low and behold....what do you know...the guy was trying to scam me.  But I'm smart enough to know that my anti-virus was working just fine!!!!  This is and ongoing issue for the people that are real with real companies!!! These scammers are trying to take advantage of people which puts the other guys in a bad spot, scammers are making it hard for others to trust the real guys that are there to help with real virus issues!!!!
Call Type:  Refund department
Guess what the guy told me his name was this time around??
Peter Parker....pahahahahaha yea right...an indian named Peter Parker!!! OHHHHH so he must be supermand!!! LOL Hope this helps someone......

Received a call from this number numerous times and from a private line. Claiming to be Microsoft and I had a computer in my machine. I contacted Norton who ran tests to prove that I don't have a virus. It showed that someone tried to hack my computer right after they called. Norton blocked it. How can I stop these people from bothering me.

My husband received a call from this Indian accented man who claimed to work for Microsoft. He told my husband (who recently just purchased a laptop from BestBuy 4 days ago) that his new computer was at a high risk for contracting several viruses and that Geek Squad had notified him to call my husband to put a stop to it. He asked my husband if he was home and in front of his computer which he wasn't so my husband gave the guy MY number bc I was at home. My husband then proceeded to call me and tell me that this guy was going to call me to help me protect his computer from 70 viruses which were all on the verge of inhabiting his computer. I thought this was all a little hokey pokey because how in the world would someone working for Microsoft or Geek Squad know exactly what viruses were "trying" to invade your computer. By the time the Indian guy called my number I was already super skeptical. He gave me the whole schpeel on the viruses and  him working for Microsoft and yadda yadda yadda. I simply said these few things. "1- If our computer had 70 viruses, then I believe it would be acting like it which it is acting fine. 2- If it does indeed have all of these viruses or even just one of them, then we have plenty of trusted sources to take our computer to to have worked on. 3- Can you please tell me the make and model of my computer you are claiming has all these viruses so I know you are legitimate." At this point he became extremely angry with me and said "First of all ma'am, I am going to spank your a$$ and f*#k your p**sy." I wasn't sure if I heard him correctly because of his ridiculous accent so I said "excuse me" and he then repeated himself twice very clearly to which I hung up. After that the same number called me back twice in a row but never left messages. Why the heck would they call right back? Obviously I am not falling for it?! Scammers! Rude! Leave me alone!!! GRRRRR

Claimed to be from Microsoft Windows.  Said my computer has been sending them messages of computer problems.  I do computer service, so right away I know Microsoft does not initiate free support calls.
They could not tell me which computer had the problem or the version of Windows it had.
When I asked for his name he said (in a strong accent) Frank Wilson.  I hung up.
Keven then called me back, and wanted me to sit at my computer and type what he said.
When I told him "This is B&H Computer Services" he mumbled and hung up.
