it is for a medical call device that hangs around your neck. I got numerous calls and mostly no one there. then a recording this last time and I listened to the whole recording. open #1 to get more info. option #2 to not be called again. Got no company name.

Recorded message trying to sell a medical alert system.  My phone is on do not call list.

Answered on 3rd ring.  Got dial tone. Called back ---- number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.   The originator is OBVIOUSLY a perpetrator of FRAUD.   If you get a call from this number it is probably best to ignore it, though it may be in your best interest to try to answer, then document the fraud.

Phone ran and it kicked into answering machine.  No message. Caller ID stated from Cameron, Tx.
I do not want these kind of calls. I am on the Do Not Call List.

I get numerous calls from this number...no on responds when you answer the phone...but you can hear that it's a connected line....I am on the do not call registry...so I called this number back to advise them I am making a complaint...and was advised it is "either disconnected or no longer in service"...pretty darn funny....they can make calls from a number no longer in service!!!

This call was made from Cameron, TX.  No one on the line when I pick up.  I'm on the do not call registry and very tired of this type of calls.

Some unsolicited telemarketing call about nursing home care.

This was an automated call that told me there was a 100% guarantee that if I lived alone I would fall and the only thing that would save me would be their Medical Alert System.  Calling my relatives wouldn't work, only using their device would save me!  The call ended and then about 5 minutes later someone called asking if I would like more information about the Medical Alert System.  I did *69 on the phone and that's how I found out the call came from 254-697-8741

Another call from these people.  When I call back it is "no longer in use".  I don't get why they keep calling me.  I am on the DoNotCall list, but that doesn't seem to stop them.

how can I get them to stop calling?

Like the people who posted complaints about the caller with this phone number, I too am registered with the DNC but am bombarded with telemarketers everyday and some evenings.   They hang up without leaving a message, but this one today is from Texas as I looked up the area code.  I often get calls from Texas and Massachusetts....I am not answering the phone now if it says unavailable or if I don't recognize the phone number.  I am an older person who needs a nap in the afternoon, but the calls regularly wake me.  Please close their racket down!!!

This message made me angry!  It uses scare tactics... this isn't an exact quote, but it said there is a ONE HUNDRED PERCENT CHANCE that if you're over 60 you WILL fall or have a heart attack or stroke.  Your friends, family, and neighbors will not be able to help you.  And why does it repeat "Press 1 for more information" three times in a row?  Are people supposed to be stupid?

I've started to get many phone calls from telemarketers and I find if I answer my phone as all do they seem to send out your number and you will recieve even more of these BS calls. So I just check my caller ID and if I don't know the number and/or the caller is UNAVAILABLE or WITHOUT A NAME, I don't answer. But I do strongly agree with ya'll, it is very frustrating because I am disabled and am also on the do not call list. I've started calling THEM and complaning about this maybe if we all costantly call the DNClist they might do something about this?  DON"T KNOW? DON"T ANSWER........

Just received a call from these pricks... When I asked to not be called again I was promptly told to "suck my D***."

My number is on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) national Do Not Call registry.

I received a call from this number - 1-254-697-8741 - at about 11:10 am on January 7, 2011.  My Caller ID displayed the words "TEXAS" and the telephone number.  The phone rang three times - just enough to get me out of my chair and go to the phone - but when I picked up the receiver, there was no one there.

EVERY TIME I receive an unwanted call such as this one I report it to the FTC using its online complaint format.  I provide the date, time of the call, what Caller ID displayed and the message if there was one on my voice mail.  I have decided to let the FTC know that people are tired of unwanted calls.

These companies/individuals know that most people will not bother to complain to the FTC - that is what they are relying on.  Thus, they stay under the FTC's radar.  Complaining at this website, other than identifying the caller, does little to stop the calls.

If more people would complain to the FTC and not just complain on this forum, the FTC WILL take action against these annoying callers.  The FTC does not act on one complaint.  It takes many complaints before they will take action - but they DO take action if enough citizens complain.
