Just got the call from 256-280-2174. They act like they know you by wanting to know how you are doing. I told him I was just walking out the door and he said everybody I've called have said they were just walking out the door. I said well believe it!

Same as above; they hang-up if I answer.  My CID says Huntsville, AL.

Phoned this afternoon; did not leave a message.  We donate DIRECTLY to the local fire department, as they come door-to-door.  We do not respond to telephone solicitors.

Called at 9:03 pm. Have an unlisted no. And are on National do not call list. Still called.

Please remove my number and do not call my house again!

Think they said something about Fire safety and doing programs for the kids for fire safety.  Wanted a donation .

want to know who this phone number belongs to and why it keeps calling me and hanging up

If you have call forwarding features (like on Verizon Digital Voice), than forward this jerk to 717-338-2533.  That's the FCC Director's office phone.  Maybe the FCC will finally do their job when they start getting the annoying calls.

Called and left no message. Caller ID displayed "Madison AL". If a call does not display a name, I do not answer.

Call from (256)280-2174 at 6:50PM.  Answered, they hung up.  I put a call block on the number

We live a few hours from Anniston, AL but don't know a soul in that town. We get calls daily from this number, but I have always let it go to the answering maching b/c the caller id just says "Madison, AL". They always hang up as soon as the machine picks up. This has been going on daily for a few months.

I just got a call from this number 256-280-2174. When I answered there was talking in the background and then a male voice called me by name. When I asked "who is this" the male voice replied," this is the tooth fairy", and hung up . I get calls about once a week or so. We normally don't answer since our caller id only shows Madison and this phone 256-280-2174. No name at all. I decided to answer just to see who was calling. They never leave a message when the answering machine picks up. I think someone needs to get a life and quit playing childish games.

Got a couple calls from this number as well as (256) 280-2172.  They seem to hang up right when I am picking up and do not leave a message if I let the call go to voice mail.  They are calling my business number and I always answer the phone with my business name so maybe they hang up right when I announce the business assuming they will not be able to get something???

This person called my husbands ex-wife and she lives in GA. can't figure out who it is.

I had a call just now at 8:12pm and the guy said he was with Fireco... they do programs for the kids for fire safety.  Wanted a donation and they would send me tickets to see Aaron Tippin who's doing a concert for them.  When I said no thank you, he continued on & said that for low income folks, just a one time donation of $15. would help a lot.  (Who said I was low income, high income or any income?) LOL!  I told him I donated through one of the organizations I belong to.  I didn't hang up as I wanted to get the whole story.  Sorry Dude... charity begins at home!  Thanks but MY money stays in MY pocket with phone calls like this!  The number on my caller I.D. was 280-2174 and it was 256 area code.  I didn't get the guys name but I don't care what his name was. If he calls here again... he'll be reported to someone other than this thing.

Man just called me from this number and asked for a person who lives here under their last name they haven't gone by since 1981. Therefore, I knew they did not know the person they were calling for so I told them they had the wrong number. I live no where near Anniston.

Received call at 12:24 pm on 09/15/2011from unknown person at this number.  Message left on machine was the name "Larry Cummings" and "let's get to the bottom of this".  Don't know this person and cannot find out who it is.  We don't live in Anniston, AL.

Number is located in Anniston, AL.  Man told me he was from the Fire Dept, but I don't make contributions based on phone calls I can't verify.  A friend of mine received a call from that number, but the caller hung up without saying anything.  Neither of us live in the Anniston area.
