I seem to have been taken off the Do Not Call Registry and placed instead on the Target of Scams list.

I've been getting these calls for weeks so I finally decided to answer and find out what it is all about.  Just like some other posters, this is some kind of scam.  The caller wanted me to check something on my PC and when I told him it was a work computer he got frustrated, said F*** you, and hung up on me.  Classy.

yet another unwanted call from this AL number; no message; no one on line.  Call back=NOT A WORKING NUMBER.  A telemarketing scam, possibly using robocall.

I have received calls from the number at least 10 times.  Once I spoke with someone (a woman with a thick foreign accent) and she identified herself as from the Computer Security Department.  I told her I was not going to fall for that, and hung up on her.  I've since gotten calls daily from them.  Make them stop!

Receive multiple hang-up calls from the number until today, when there was an actual person on the other end.  I told him if he didn't remove my number from the list I would report him and that I didn't believe that my computer was notifying them of a problem.  English was clearly not his first language, either.  He hung up after I threatened to report him.

Called my landline at 8:30 p.m. on 6/16....no message, no one on line...called back and got message NOT A WORKING NUMBER.  RoboCall from Telemarketer

I received two calls today from 256-485-6489....12:30 ad 1:30.  No one on line; no message; telemarketers no doubt.

The DNC can't stop all the calls- it only keeps honest business's honest. Most of these calls are coming from India also. Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I want some type of taser device I can trigger to zap idiots like this.
someone invent one and I'd pay $1000 for it so long as it works.
These calls would stop then.
Does the do not call list do anything? Been reporting lots of calls.....no action.

We've had FOUR annoying calls over the past 2 days Al X 2 and 1 from a Kevin, the other name I didn't get.
Who do I report this to, and how can I stop them.

Just got a call from some jerk with a thick  foreign accent saying he was calling from a computer technical services company, saying that they have received messages from my computer about errors.  I told him there were no problems with my computer and to take me off his calling list.  He said "I can't do that".  So I asked him what company he's working for.  He wouldn't answer.  I asked him if he thought I was an idiot and would let him hack into my computer and steal my information.  He started babbling and with that thick accent I could understand a word he was saying.  I told him again to stop calling me and then he said "f.... you"  and I said the same back to him and hung up. This is the second call from this guy (or someone sounding just like him).   If it wasn't so annoying I'd have a good laugh about it.

I have been dealing with this # for the last two months!!
Has any one contacted the FCC about this? If not, others should do the same as I. This # gives me the impression of a warning from the NSA about Al- Quida tactics to help support terrorist attacks on people.

Received three calls today I yelled at him....he called me some names admitted to being a scam and told me he was going harass me everyday I mentioned harassment was a crime he said he did not care when my husband got on the phone and asked what his problem was he hung up.....so let's see if he continues his threat.....where are the laws to protect us from these scams and these phone calls from foreign countries that seem to be using American phone numbers........paying every month for a phone to be harassed does not make any sense to me just makes me feel like these jerks have won no matter what on my dime.

An obvious scam to get access to your computer either to steal personal information or make your computer a spambot.

Blocking them is like playing Whack-a-Mole, they call with a different fraudulent phone number each time.

Two ways to deal with them 1)don't answer unknown calls/hang up or 2)engage them, fake interest in their service, ask lots of questions and waste their time.

I am getting several calls from this number too.  I know it's a scammer, but I say helloooooooo... hellooooo  and last time when there was no response, i said "if you aren't going to talk then quit f****ing calling my number!" and hung up.  Then you can hear a very quiet "click".  It must be robo calls and a person probably answers the first one who picks up, then the rest go unanswered until next time they call the list of however many they call at one time with the robo-caller.

Calls come at all times. When I answered, no one responded. It does sound like someone might be on the other end, but can't be sure. When I called the number back, a recording states that the number has been disconnected.

Hang up. We get this caller frequently. They convince their prey they are fixing your computer. The victim unknowingly gives computer information that enables the caller to tap into their computer and steal personal information. Each time, I tell the caller that I don't own a computer. Then they hang up. But I still get the calls.

This number keeps calling my cell phone .. unwanted!  I won't answer it because this number is not known to me.

Received a call from a person of India or like descent!!!  Told me he was windows rep tech and mumbled something about my computer.  Obviously,  some kind of scam and I hung up.

Caller used a hindu/Indian accent to try to be funny. He was bad at it. When I told him I had trouble umderstanding him he threatened to cut off my neck.  So I had the police speak to him. He has not called back.

Constant calls - all hours - no one answers
