They are unable to hang up? That's good to know. Going to try that out the next time one of them calls me. I know Indian scammers generally wait for their victim to hang up first.

Lets take out these b*****ds for good. Death would be good. All we need is names and an addresss for the SOB's behind this scam. Since the FTC and the government isn't doing it job to shut them down. Let's do it ourselves! Since they hide behind these fake numbers and harass us over and over it is time to turn the tables on them. Torture and murder even sounds to nice. LETS DO IT!!!!

Someone posted above about a company VoiceOnyx Corp based out of orlando. Seems the FTC caught up with them.

At least its a bit of good news to see they are making court cases against this kind of abuse.

Oh how I love call block...... The application I used gives the auto-dialer they use a busy signal.... So it tries to call back.. and does so 8 times yesterday morning and 12 calls this afternoon.
Looks like it waits between 5-15 seconds before between attempts.
Now what I would like to know is if there would be a way to keep the auto-dialer busy the maximum duration..

Dead air on the call today from the same number. I don't know if it was "Britney" calling me, or the robo-dialer. The call wouldn't hold, and dropped within the minute (despite me pressing '1').

Called me again. Why put in complaints as they don't do any good. So sad

256 525 9650, telemarketer, called me 75,000,000 times.

I ran "Britney" through the paces of two calls to the toll-free number for my credit card bank, a little over 12 minutes. She is supposed to call me back in an hour or two, so I can waste even more of her time. The more calls, from different spoofed numbers they use, will provide the break for my cell provider's security division to catch them.

They called me last night and was on the phone with them for 20 minutes. I give them a fake credit card number, fake name, fake last four digits of my SS number, and I gave them the FBI hotline as the credit card number on the back of the card. The guy came back and told me that there was no such card number. He started to harrass me because of the name i used. He told me he knew i was from ILL since I gave him an IL zip code, and it told him that I knew he was from Florida and he didn't deny that even though the spoofed number showed up as an Alabama number. After a bit, i realized that he was unable to disconnect our call and asked me to hang up. I told him no. He then asked if i had hacked his computer. lol I said yes and that I am a professional hacker (which I am not btw lol). He was begging me to hang up so he could help others lower their interest rates on their credit cards. I told him I would only hang up if he gave me the information I wanted...his bosses company name and phone number..which he refused to give. It took him 20 minutes to disconnect the call. It was a blast to harass them for once, but was hoping that he would give in and give me the information I wanted....information that I would have gladly shared on here.

Stop with the credit card interest reduction offers. Get new person each time - Rachel, carol, etc

They call my work and personal phone. Bad thing is have family/friends in Alabama where severe weather is. These scammers need to be stopped, so if you get calls from any number you don't know, check it before you call it back. Came up as Leesburg AL.

I am fed up with all of the calls I receive from these numbers. Area codes 256,501,337,850,501,763,203,918 are just some of the calls I receive on a daily basis. I actually talked to a person during one of these calls. They said they could get my rates lowered on my credit cards. All the (Lady) needed was my credit card information. I told her that I am not comfortable giving that info on a cell phone. I told her that I would send them my info via US mail all I needed was an address. I bet you can guess what happened next "well I don't know what the address is". I know where I work do you. CLICK. Our federal government's do not call plan is a joke, just like they are.

The bad news: Card Services calls aren't going to stop anytime soon.
The good news: You can retaliate, reduce the misery, and even have some fun.
RETALIATE:
Waste these turkeys' time. Keep them on the line by acting like an interested prospect. Give them bogus data, including a combination of two different credit card numbers, scrambled Social Security digits, and a ZIP Code that's slightly off. Note: providing a credit card company's real 800 number is key to prolonging the call.
After they call the credit card company, you can give them the same credit card info as before with two of the numbers transposed, thus causing them to make a second verification call. Or you can respond, "Guess what ... H-O-O-N-N-K-K [from a $6 air horn] you've been PRANKED! Call back tomorrow for more bullshot." Now they're the butt of your joke rather than you then victim of their harassment.
REDUCE THE MISERY
Landlines. Enroll for the free service at nomorobo.com. Simultaneous ringing, a feature you can enable with many providers, enables nomorobo to receive, answer and, after one ring, hang up on nuisance telephone numbers.
Cell phones. Block the number, an option that becomes available on the iPhone if you click on the "i" on the right in the list of recent calls and scroll to the bottom. Unfortunately, Card Services will keep calling from new spoofed numbers, which eventually should motivate you to retaliate.
HAVE FUN
Turning the tables on the perpetrators with mischievous deception and the news they've been duped provides instantaneous vigilante satisfaction. Plus you serve your fellow call recipients by slowing down this evil operation's efforts to defraud them.

I got the same call today from this number. I get a call from this "company" every day sometimes multiple times per day. Always using unworking numbers. Always hanging up as soon as someone comes onto the line. I started getting these calls right after my husband thought he was doing me a favor by giving Petco my cell number to use as my rewards lookup. I have had the same number for over 12 years and NEVER given it to anyone that wasn't a personal contact...and as soon as my number was given to Petco these calls started. I am beyond upset. I am seriously considering changing my phone number, but it's such a hassle.

I have 2 fav ploys with these calls. As soon as they start speaking I start talking over them:
"Hello, my name is George. I'm calling from the Continental Life Insurance Company to discuss your family's life insurance needs". The longer they stay on the phone the thicker I lay it on.
I also like pretending to be a hard-of-hearing and confused person.
