Here it has been almost a year, I was digging through some boxes and I found my yellow copy for my magazines. After calling the company several times....nothing. I filled a complaints with the BBB and feel I am out my $48.00. I am so disappointed with humanity really. who sends kids around to do this?

Dave Fessell seems to have a long reach. The police are investigating these scams. If anyone has info on these companies (Top Sales, Veritas Communication, Someday Sales, and SCI) please forward to me to pass on to investigators.

I'm like the rest of you here... I 'bought' a subscription to INKD from a couple of guys that were trying to 'raise money' to go across the seas to Paris or soemthing. That was back in May 2010. Payed 56$ and was really excited cause I'd be able to share the mag with a brother of mine...
Payed for 12 issues and didn't get a 1... looked back at the slip and what do you know, they spelled my town wrong...
BTW this happened in the center of Missouri and the company was Someday Sales, Inc. down in Arden, NC and how I found my way to this site.
I can only hope we can get this around and stop them from scamming others. I hope they get what's coming to them, and we get back what we deserve.

I have worked for Dave myself and yes I'm almost positive he has EVERYTHING to do with the company. No matter all the times he changes names. I was only with the crew for a short time. And only very few of the people that I thought I was selling magazines too did I keep in touch with and maybe one out of the 3 that I still kept in contact with did recieve their magazines. And as far as the one that quit 5 days ago and with the bus station... The only thing that was paid for was my ticket. Alot of the kids that they get are gullible and such.

| Abingdon Va 2010-12-28 19:47:21 Unknown |
Yep Gabby you were with a guy that scammed me, 4 months later no refund. I should known something was up when you to shady punks showed up. Thanks for ripping people off 60$ at a time.

I just had a freezing young girl come to my door posing as an "orphan" who was trying to improve her peolpe skills by talking to "50 Friendly Adults" and then ask me to donate a year subscription for the magazine of my choice to a children's orphanage. I chose National Geographic Kids and made out a check for $48. The subscription I found out later only costs $15 for the year. After reading about Someday Sales, I feel strongly that the man behind this organization needs to be strung up by his balls, the outer later of his epidermis scraped, turpentine poured on him and then lit on fire. The shame of using young kids posing as "foster kids trying to better their people skills" to make a huge profit on his magazine sales is simply appalling!!! Yes, I am convinced, the devil dose exist on this earth! I hope others are not fooled by this scam!!!!

I quit Someday Sales Inc Five days ago. When I quit, thet dropped me off at a bus station in Virginia With no money and no bus ticket! How the f*** was I suppose to get home??

Ya damn right screw em!

I have been trying that number listed for Somday Sales, Inc.. for days. All the response I have gotten is either an answering machine, or the latest development as of this morning is a recording saying that the voicemail box set up for that number is not in service. For anyone else who has been scammed by this so-called company... I truly feel sorry. In these uncertain economic times, it's truly the sign of a worthless person who would send out these young kids after making who knows what promises to them as far as their gain from the sales. Maybe with any luck we'll somehow manage to get back our money and see the person responsible for this mess brought to some justice.

A boy (listed on my receipt as Andrew Thompson) that looked to be around 17 came to my door in Fort Worth, TX on November 23rd, 2009 and sold me a magazine subscription for $49 which was for Disney and Me. It has been over 120 days and surprise surprise I have not received any magazines. I tried calling the number on the receipt (256-233-3838; listed as Top Sales on the receipt) and got a basic voice mail in which I left a message and have yet to receive a returned phone call. I WILL be going to the police department tomorrow and filing a report. I called my bank and they said there was nothing they could do since it was deposited so long ago. I will go to my bank in person after I file a police report to see if I can then get a return of funds.

Don't let anybody fool you. I've been with Dave Fussell's company and am very familiar with Anthony (Scottie) Newton. Every one of those kids out there have cell phones and Dave Fussell is DEFINITELY involved with this company. His previous company, Veritas Communications, still owes thousands of dollars to people who will NEVER get their magazines. Why and how he's allowed to continue this scam is beyond me. I'd make a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.

They are in Paris, Texas now scamming in neighborhoods. - the scam is that the magazines will be sent to our troops overseas. So at 48.00 per magazine - half goes ot buying the magazine that is sent overseas and the other half goes to the "charity". What do you wnat to bet that no magazines are ever sent...
The young girl stated that they were staying in Texarkana, Tx and traveling to different cities each day picked by whoever was in charge. Texarkana is almost 100 miles from Paris... She also told me that she had enlisted in the Army that she had jsut turned 18 and that she had already completed basic training and would be going overseas soon. Flashed what looked like a military ID.
Thought something wasn't right but wanted to help so I only bought one magazine and I paid cash so they wouldn't have my bank account number or credit card number...
Did get a slip from Someday Sales, Inc. (how I found this site) has the following address:
P.O. Box 574
Arden, NC 28704
ph 866-913-3761
Also, read the back of the slip that you sign 1) you do have the right to cancel within 3 days. 2) you will get no refund for cancellations for less than 25.00 3) if you wrote a check you authorized them to redeposit your check ELECTRONICALLY for the amount that you wrote it for PLUS another 30.00.
So, the best I could do at this point is to sign the back of the slip and send it to them - and wait for my refund... WC Fields said there is one born every day - yesterday was my day. I hope somebody else reads this before they get the knock on the door.

These people are in Athens mooching on the naive college kids. They represent Someday Sales Inc. out of Arden, NC. They get dropped off at apartment complexes by this mysterious van. They carry no i.d. whatsoever and do not have phones. I called the 866-913-3761 number and spoke with an Anthony Newton. He said that Dave Fussell doesn't have anything to do with the company but some lady named Debra Brower is in charge. He said he is familiar with Mr. Fussell and that he is supposedly buying back into the company. Bottom line__If you want a magazine, get it from the store and subscribe with one of the many included placards, or wait until the legit school kids have a sale and buy from them...

I live in Louisville, ky and I purchased a 36 month subscription to xbox magazine from a company called Top Sales. I definitely never received them though and I feel kind of dumb for waiting 5 months. I found out today that they have changed their number to 256-233-3838 and I have left a message with them. I can only hope they call me back or answer eventually. As an honest recommendation to anyone reading this though, if two young kids posing as local college students come to your door then press you to let them inside so they make you uncomfortable, and then come on wayy too strong trying to sell magazines, tell them to leave or you are going to call the police. They are intimidating and a nuisance and they are obviously going to end up scamming you anyway. Just a heads up. I wish I could get my money back :/

I am director of Parent Watch; www.parentwatch.org. I need your help. Last night I told a girl who was abandoned by Fussell to go to the police for help to get her clothes. I also called Fussell to get a ticket home for her. Fussell was explosive (I have dealt with him in the past) and told me that he would have her arrested, which he proceeded to do by the very same officer that I had sent her to for help. Evidently a manager can have a sales person arrested for unsubstantiated charges over the phone and from another state! In order to keep something over the kids' heads, he or one of his managers shorts the pad cases(sales receipt books)that are handed out to kids each day so that the kids don't have a full case of receipts when they leave their motel in the morning to begin the work day. If any of the kids give him trouble during the course of the day (wanting to quit), he is in the position to tell that kid to either return to the motel as usual, or he will call the police and say that the kid stole the missing receipts and cashed customers' subscription money, and he wants them arrested! The young girl whom I sent to the police for help last night is, as of 8/18/09, in jail awaiting a hearing because of exactly this scenario. Can you please go to the above website and email me so that I can get as much info as possible in order to help this unfortunate person.
