Who is calling me from this number

To Wildman: The Do Not Call list is not to keep creditors from calling. You owe BofA money, and it's within their rights to call you to collect it.

My call from this number is Bank of America, too. Oops.

Received a call from 260-000-0000.  The caller identified herself as "BofA" calling about my account(s).  She asked me to verify my information.  I stated that I did not feel comfortable providing this information over the phone without being able to verify her identity.  She then asked me to call back at 800-669-0102 (take a look at the complaints on this #).  Before making the call, I looked up the number online and found this blog of complaints!  I am glad that I paid attention to my gut on this!  To add insult to injury, my number is registered on the "Do Not Call" list.  What a waste of taxpayer money.  I will perform due diligence and report the two numbers to the FCC and Do Not Call agency.  Good luck to all and thanks for sharing.  At least we can help each other avoid these scams.

The phone number is Bank of America and is legit. Told them that I didnt trust the number and they gave me 800-669-0102 to call back and they understood.

This helped, I didn't answer the phone, but I have a Bank of America Home Loan too.  They are just getting sneaky, thinking if they change the number they call me from, I'll answer.  (They can screen the their outgoing number so it shows up with all those "0")  I don't answer calls I don't know, so their tatic didn't work.  They have numerous 1-800 #'s they call from.

Way late on a BoA mortgage, it's them. They want their money for some reason. Oops.
