when they call there is nobody at other end. wish they would STOP !

They call will not talk , and calls coming in from other numbers .

I have received not one, but three unwanted calls from various numbers including this one just today!  I am sick and tired of getting these calls on my CELL which is registered on the DO NOT CALL list!

Got a call twice today from this number - didn't answer because I know it is a scam plus we don't know anyone in the 260 area.  These people usually find someone dumb enough to give them the information they want and then they wipe their accounts out or charge things to them.  Unfortunately they prey on the elderly who think the call is real.  It's a sad world any more when people can't even rest in peace without all these annoying calls.  I just delete... in fact just took 5 or 6 calls from my phone.  I know the area codes I do have legitimate dealings with and if it is not recognized I don't even answer.  

Consider a call blocker.

twice called, each time an office can be heard in the background but no actual caller identifying themselves

tried calling this number back and they said it was some kind of auto insurance offer. When I told them to take my number off the list, he hung up.  Less than 5 minutes later I got a call from 713-581-2273.  It sounded like the same guy selling the same stuff. Again, he hung up as soon as I said take my number off the list.

Yes they do call from other numbers too got 5 different numbers within two hour period this moring I block them all

I don't know who called and they didn't leave a voicemail which is really irritating.

I received several calls from this number. They did not specify what they wanted. also i received call from the 1859-592-3202 , I believe from  the same company.  

Just received a call in Richmond, VA.  Man was speaking and very hard to understand and fast.  Had a Hispanic accent.  Have no clue what he said.  Let him have a royal piece of my mind and then hung up.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I keep receiving calls from 260-344-2791 for a few days now, so today I started answering my phone like it was a business phone.
"Good Morning this is "name" How may I help you?  They asked is this a business I replied "yes, what type of roofing shingles were you ordering and how quickly will the truck be here to pick them up, they have to be picked up within 24 hours of order placement."  

All I heard after that was CLICK and no phone calls since...... LOL

The first time, when someone calls and there is no voice, that is a site that verifies whether the number is active. They will sell the "active list" to all kind of organizations. After that, all kind of telemarketing calls will start coming and yes, most of the telemarketers are located in various foreign countries and many cannot speak English properly
Yes, I too have been getting these calls and, using the "do not call" list option is only mildly effective.
Since most of the calls originate outside the US, the "do not call" has little or no control over this.
If the same number will call repeatedly, the telephone company can block those numbers but the limit, usually is 10 numbers.

Got a call from this number on my wifes phone.  Sounded like a office.  Then followed by a number from country code Cape Verde.  Where do we report this

well they have actually blocked me from calling them...they were nasty and called 3 times...the last time i railed on them, they hung up, i called them back and i'm blocked...from 3 different numbers they called me from...

You should report them, but the fact is they are Indian scammer/extortionists beyond the reach of US law.  The US government can't do anything and the Indian government isn't doing much.

Call blocker is your best bet.  Also don't pickup on phone numbers you don't  recognize.

206-344-2791 is 'AUTO INSURANCE NETWORK'.  It's an asian or indian sweat shop, you can tell by the noise in the background. I told him my car was repossessed and house foreclosed upon. He hung up. Don't think I will be hearing from him again.
