"Jordan" from Core Data Records called again-(my previous post under "Barney") asking for our controller by her first name only. Put him straight to VM. Future calls will go to Voice Mail limbo-generic mail box that I send all unwanted calls to and delete daily!

Guy, have you read these complaints? Obviously your people or you are not professional. You do seem to be hard working at being annoying a***s. There's no way your business is doing any good with the tactics your people use. Your company if it even exists is a complete failure. I'd bet my last dollar it's a scam.

Thank you for contributing feedback.  We do not attempt to bother people with our calls and are happy to remove anyone from our lists if they ask.  We are honest, hard workers just like you and attempt to provide a valuable service to help people.  The names of the people mentioned in these posts are no longer with us.  We hire many people and train them as best as we can, but when we discover that an employee is not following procedures to treat all calls with respect, we have no choice but to ask them to change or leave and that is what has been done.  Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss.

"Dean" from Core Data Records (?) called and asked for VP of Finance by name. Caller ID shows "Market Search". Called yesterday, too, when I was filling in for receptionist, as I remember Googling the call back number and telling the recptionist about some of these hilarious comments on this thread. So today I just parked him on hold until he hung up. Que sera, sera.....

Their website says they respect do not call requests. I suggest you call the owner directly. Here's the info.

Received a call from this number asking for the name of our Accountant.  I asked if there was something I could help him with because I was not just going to give him our Accountant's name and he got mad.  Then he asked who he could talk to that could give him the needed information.  I told him I was the Office Director needed to know who he was who he was with.  He very rudely told me his name and said that he didn't have time to talk to people that didn't know what was going on with our business and then hung up.  He was a complete jerk.  I have told all of our staff to report to me if any calls come in from this #.

somebody call the office asking for the mananger, some rude jerk who kept trying to get the manager and I kept asking him questions about his company. He wouldn't give any information all he said was a need to speak with theat manager not with you....he was very rude person....

A man w/ Gold Club America called to the a message for the principal of the school concerning giving a cash donation to our school.  He would not give details.  He said for her to call Tonya Curry back at 260-466-2484 for details.

Just received a call from a Michael Campbell at Blue Star Technologies.  He asked for the Controller of our Accounting Department.  Is there any other type of Controller??? I mean really, how stupid are these people.  Anyway, I asked him what it was in regards to and he refused to answer, he just said that your Controller will know what I'm calling for.  When my controller had no clue who he was or what he wanted I told him he wasn't available and he then asked for my CFO, who happens to be the same person.  I then told him that what ever he's selling we aren't interested please stop calling.  His answer to that was a laugh and we'll see.  These people really need to be stopped.

Asked for our CFO by first and last name. Said his name was "Dan King" with Record Max. Very abrupt.

Got asked for the CFO & President.  They never answer there calls, so I transfered them.  But accidentally hung up when I was trying to write down there #...Oops... Oh well, no call back yet.  Like & Agree with-both from "drsjwriter"and "this is who they are"

a rather rude woman demanded [and I quote] "what is the name of your administrator?"
What kind of a dumb opening is that?
I replied [politely, I might add], "Who is asking?"
"Laura", she said.
"From where?", I asked.
"Is the administrator in?" she asked.
"Where are you calling from?" I asked.
"Is {Clerk's Name} in?", she asked.
"Where are you calling from??" I repeated, more firmly, "This is like pulling teeth", I added.
"Steven's Worldwide", she said.
What is that?", I asked.
"My Company"., she answered.
"What does your company do?", I asked.
"Record's Retention", she said. [or something similar to 'retention']
I informed her that we are all set with our records, and disconnected.

Her whole demeaner was rude throughout the limited conversation. And one of the things our Administrator's don't have time for are unsolicited sales calls.

Randy with Data Chambers (260) 483-0550 again. This time he wanted to talk to the CFO. I played along with the "Sure may I tell him who's calling?" He bite and said Randy with Data Chambers. I said one moment please put him on hold. Looked at phone log and sure enough Randy was on the do not pass list. I picked up the phone and said "Randy - Sorry dude you suck." Then hung up.  Also see the post from me above dated Nov. 9 2011.

Call came in from this company and they took up our phone lines redialing for about 5 minutes and hanging up.  Then, when someone actually spoke, they demanded the office manager and then hung up.

what to do?  I just read that ?  Years ago, we had someone doing random calls, and the police said that when they start talking to you, just hit a key on your phone--like 2 or 3, etc. and immediately say, "Officer, this is the call to be traced!" and hang up.  The caller isn't expecting that and has no idea if you can trace them  or not. We did it and they quit calling.  I've use that technique a couple of times.   Good luck.

So, here's what I do-- any telesoliciter like this that I don't want, I save the # as SCAM, or  S C A M,  or HRSMNT, or ....etc.. and you can put 4 numbers in under each name--so when these stupid people call, I see the harassment selection and just don't answer. I now have about 6 different files of these kinds of numbers.   LOL to them.

As luck would have it, I was answering the phone myself when these bozos called (my receptionist was at lunch). I could tell by the name, Market Research and the background noises that it was a sales call, so when they asked for me by name I played dumb and started asking who they were and what company they were with.  After a few seconds of them getting aggravated, I finally put them on hold, then picked it back up as "myself", lol!.  I let them waste time going all the way through their routine, then calmly told them that they would have to contact our central IT or accounting department at the corporate office, the branch offices don't handle that sort of thing.  I love to waste these peoples time when they call, it makes me smile! Not to mention it ticks me off when these jack***es are rude to assistants and receptionists, since I used to be one years ago, and I know what that's like.

Just had a call from 260-483-0550 asking for our Finance Manager - I asked his name and he said Randy with Data Chambers. I put him on hold and was told by my FM to put Randy in his voice mail. When I went back to the line I began speaking to Randy and was about to move the call into the FM's Voice Mail when the jerk hung up on me. So I call back and got a recorded voice saying they were Market Research Inc. I left a message telling them that Randy was rude and I've blocked their number for good.

Does anyone know how to stop them from calling? When the call came in, I just hung up on them. Then they called right back. Serenity Now!

I have been asked by our C.E.O. and controller to tell these guys to not contact us. I tell them every single time they call and only get rude comments from them that since I am just the lowly receptionist I can't make that decision etc.

Received a call - Caller ID said MKT Search.  The gentlemen caller said his name was Charles Monroe and he claimed to be from EA Management, asking to speak to our Controller (he used his first name).  I asked which one because we have 6 men named the same first name here, he said your controller.  I asked once more what his name and company was, and then what the nature of the call is and he started to become irate with me, saying that he wanted to speak to him and I said well he has asked us to find out what the nature of his calls are before passing them through and Charles again becoming irate said that its too long of information for him to tell me and to just get the Controller for him.

Watch out for these people, they are in no way "professional"

They call a couple times a day and ask for random different people. We have stopped answering their calls but they keep calling. Their calls go straight to voicemail but never leave a message.

person calls continually, will not leave message, when put on hold to get the appropriate person they hang up.  I have no idea what they are trying to sell or ask for.

Rude man calls and will not leave any information and wants to talk directly to Operations Manager. This is a "cold call", and we always screen these out.

Caller has call several times in the past seven days. Always insist on speaking with the director. He identified himself as Chris. When pushed for information as to the reference of his calls, none is giving. Placed the caller on hold to relay the request to whom the call is directed and returned, Chris had hung up.
