Yes, it is Verizon reminding  you of your bill.  I have to say that I've experienced great customer service with Verizon.  There have been times when I had large unexpected auto repairs and had to pay my bill a little late; on my next pay period.  I called, they were more then  willing to work with me as long as I scheduled a payment.  My service was no interrupted and I paid them like I agreed to.  As long as you call and talk to them and make an arrangment they are extremly easy and accomdating.  

I don't have Verizon Wireless service, nor do I owe them any money.  I get calls from this number all the time...sounds like the definition of "a joke" to me.

My bill came yesterday, due next week and I keep getting calls. I'm not late, so yes ..  That is a joke.

They are a joke?  Why?  Because they are informing you that you are late on your bill.  If you don't make your car payment do you not get your car repossessed?  Do you not pay fees to get it back?  If you overdraft your bank account do you not pay overdraft fees?  Why would the phone be any different.  Pay your bill or set a payment arrangement to inform them you plan to pay and your service doesn't get interupted.  It's not difficult.  Don't blame the phone company for your inability to follow through on your committment to pay a monthly service.  If you can't do it go to prepay.

It's Verizon Wireless wanting to remind you to pay your cell phone bill or they will disconnect your service and charge you a reconnect fee. They are a joke.
