Received a second call from this number with caller ID as YASMARIE.  They left no message. Just like everyone else, I am on the Do Not Call List, but get calls from unknown phone numbers on a constant basis.  Sick of it!

I had a call on my caller ID from this number and the name "Yasmarie."  The caller did not leave any message.  My number is unpublished and is on the state and federal Do Not Call lists.  My voicemail greeting says, "If you are a telemarketer or survey taker, please note that this number is on the Do Not Call list and does not accept telemarketing or survey calls."  With that, the telemarketers have been adequately warned.

Telephone numbers on the registry will only be removed when they are disconnected and reassigned, or when the consumer chooses to remove a number from the registry.

I would first make sure that your number is really on the Do Not Call list both in your state and on the Federal list.  One of the biggest things the direct marketing lobby did to protect itself was to ensure that we consumers have to renew our Do Not Call status every two years.  No One will tell you if you are going off of the list, and if, say you forget to renew your name on the DNC list for a period, then a marketer can and will get your name and start calling.  And he is doing nothing against the law...it's a big loophole for legitimate call centers here in the US.  The overseas call centers seem to go in spurts with their calling.  I haven't had one in awhile.

The second type of callers are those that know they are violating and keep doing it anyway. I have read about some pretty recent, large fines handed down in Wisconsin recently, but the violators called tens of thousands of people before they were caught.  So it seems that if you have a call center set up in a high unemployment area (Racine, WI, Kenosha, WI, Flint, MI), and you get a contact to call for seasonal items, like window replacements, you could probably get some sales and shut it down before you are caught.

Received a call this morning from this number. I was on the phone at the time and got the beep when the call was coming through but I ignored it and kept on talking. Figured it was a scam call cause the name said Yasmarie. Don't know anyone or place with that name. I never pick up a call from a number I don't recognize. My question is why do we have a do not call list and we still get calls day after day from scammers. It is really getting out of hand and something needs to be done and NOW!

When I informed "Becky" the call was violating the Federal Do Not Call list, and I would be reporting the call, she said, "At least you're nice about it."  !!  So they are fully aware they're violating Federal Law, and just don't care.  The government needs to enforce this law.  Imagine if they crack down on the phone companies.  Fine the service provider, and we'll see this problem magically disappear, don't you agree?  This won't hurt the phone companies - they can implement a chunky fine for customers that violate federal laws.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Caller ID displayed caller as YASMARIE.  Caller indicated they were calling to schedule a free estimate for replacement windows as they would be doing work in the area.  I indicated that we were not interested.  She then asked how old our windows were.  Told her again, not interested and that we were on Do Not Call List.  Her reply was that this was not a sales call but a call to schedule a free estimate (what's the difference?).  Told her again not interested and hung up.

I received a call from this number. Caller ID said it was from someone named Yasmarie. I don't know anyone by that name. No message was left. Reverse lookup said Kenosha cell phone.

No message left. Must be a scammer.
