This was a   call responding to  a Resume I posted.  It is a call center that works for multiple corporations ie: Comcast, The Standard.  They do phone interviews.

They called (262-364-0074) me stating that he (Randy) was calling from The Standard ins.co for a job opportunity.

This is the company that does the pre-employment screenings for Comcast.  You start with a long application.  Then if you are lucky you will get a phone interview.  The toughest part for me was the online assessments I took for the call center position in Beaverton, Oregon and a Sales/Customer Service Associate at their store in Milwaukie, Oregon.  It is a tough process and my final step was a behavioral interview with two managers.  I didn't get the job but I did get a valuable lesson.  So, yes this is a legitimate number and they are serious if they contact you from a posted a resume.

I think its for voice recognition, or so I've read. They call and ask for someone else, & when you answer you've got the wrong number they have your voice & can identify you on any phone from then on out.

It's not JUST Comcast, it's a general HR number for Talent Acquisition which is an application program companies use for applicants to jobs. Mine specifically was for Humana where I applied recently.

Status: Called, but I did not answer.  A woman named Ashley left a voicemail stating that she was from Comcast Career Center and was calling to schedule a phone interview.  I did apply for Comcast last week.

She instructed me to call back at 877-450-0550, to which I did and spoke with another call taker who schedule my interview for next week.

Ditto with most of the above comments on calls. I got a call tried to answer but went to message twice. gave me a call back #. I was told I applied for a job without mentioning the job. the call back number was a message to check my email. I'm not real smart so I have no idea which of the 500 junk emails I get daily is hers?

Hi I was wondering if there is another number to get a hold of anyone. Someone from this number called me I was talking with him and then I put himon hold so I could answer another call then he hung up. I go to call back and I get a recording. I would like to see what it was all about but now I can not get through. I you or anyone on this site can help me out that would be great.

They also work with Moses Cone Healthcare  scheduling interviews for individuals who have applied for positions within their company. Completely legitimate business, I am very pleased to report. :)

Caller ID said private name.  It was for a family member who sent out job resumes. It had contact information and sounded legit.  The family member is not here at the moment but saved the message.  I never answer the phone, it all goes to message.  I see it is from Wisconsin but they mentioned a job within commuting distance of our residence in Florida.

I keep getting phone calls on the Comcast Career Center and when I leave a message to be taken off the list it does no good for 2 months now I get a call every week and I replied do not call me anymore to no avail. take me off your list I'm not interested in working for your company. these calls are harassing and have to stop.

Totally legit - got a phone interview for Citi-bank which I applied for through the CitiBank website. She stated that I would get an email confirmation for the interview which came through almost immediately (did come to my SPAM folder).

I had applied to Citi for a customer service job yesterday. Then I scheduled a phone interview, and for me it was Citi calling to do my phone interview.

RVH (Royal Victoria Hospital) in Canada also uses them.  I wonder how many people applying for jobs at the RVH have not answered because they had 262-364-0074 show up on their call display.  American recruiters are also judging the resumes going to the Canadian hospital.  I'm not meaning to offend when I say that.  We're two different cultures with different career styles or ethics and I'm not so sure it's the correct move for a Canadian resume to be judged by any other country.  Or at least tell us so that we can change the resume so it's more appealing to the reader.

Yes, I got this phone call stating they wanted to schedule a phone interview for Citibank, which I did apply for. Not sure if they're legitimate or not, but when I called back, I had to leave a message.

I received a call from the telephone number (262)364-0074 which is a legitimate telephone number. A person by the name of Erin called from the Comcast Career Center telling me about an Inbound Call Center job at the Beaverton, Oregon location of Comcast. I have received several calls from recruiters working for Comcast either locally or nationally and I have told them I am not interested at this time.
    Finally, like everyone else I posted my resume on Resume Rabbit last month and I have been getting calls from the different job boards it was posted on.

I just received a call and they left a voicemail. They referenced Comcast Career Center and how they received my contact information (Job Board). They also referenced a Direct Sales position they believed I may be a fit for. Since my resume clearly lists me as a manager, I'm not interested in the position, but it always good for recruiter to let you know why they are calling and how they received your information. He left a 1888 number as well.

This is a Career Center which does recruiting for multiple large companies. I've spoke with several individuals at this number for employment with Ingram Micro, whcih I applied for online. The job I applied for wasn't an ideal fit, however they had other opportunities for which I am interviewing for directly with the company at this point. They do the pre-HR screening and then you meet with a hiring manager and are invited for an onsite meeting with the actual company. Very nice people I have dealt with also. The e-mails are customized to the company you being consdered for.

Totally legit, They call and do over the phone interviews for other companies then send in their evaluation of your interview. Then the employer will pick applicants based on a grading system of some sort from the calling center. ( my opinion on the matter)
