I DID. ITS A VALID DEBT. I DID TAKE THE LOAN. THEY E-MAILD ME A SETTLEMENT LETTER. THE PERSON I TALKED TO HE WAS ACTUALLY POLITE. IF I WAS NOT IN SUCH A BAD SPOT BACK THEN I WOULD HAVE NEVER DONE IT! CHARGED ME OUT THE NOSE WITH INTEREST BUT THE AMOUNT I PAID WAS SOMEWHAT FAIR... ITS NOT A SCAM ITS JUST THAT LADY WAS SUCH A BI***!

We been getting the same calls from the lady saying she is coming to my house with the police department to take me in if I don't call them. If she can't give me information about the papers she has. Then how do I know if I owe the person or not.

Before you pay, get something in writing from them.  I have read too many comments from people who pay and then they come back for more and lie to you.

I got the same message today...this is so strange, how can you block the number if it is unknown...

I GOT A CALL TODAY FROM THIS PERSON ABOUT A MATTER I HAD OUTSTANDING IN 08. NOW THEY DECIDE TO CALL ME ON IT? ITS AS SIMPLE AS THIS ITS ALL IN WHAT STATE YOU LIVE IN DEPENDS ON WHAT THEY CAN DO TOO YOU IF THEY HAVE CHAIN OF TITLE TO THE DEBT THEN THEY ARE WITHIN RIGHTS TO FILE A JUDGMENT. I REQUESTED A LETTER FROM THEM IN REGARD TO THE SETTLEMENT OFFER. I ACKNOWLEDGE I OWE. I HAVE HALF A MIND TO PAY. JUST SOME RUDE WOMAN CALLING ME IS NOT A WAY TO GET ME TOO....

Order...wth??? I have comms with all my creditors and I dont know who this is...and she left way to much info on a voicemail and house answering machine...more than a debt collector is authorized
To without violating the individual's privacy.  She doesn't even know if she's talking to the correct person...WOW...too surreal NOT!!!  She forgot to leave her own call back number for this stop order...crazy!!  Thank you Ms Elissa for making my day, whoever you are!!!

Message left on my cell.  Most of message was not understandable.  Sounded like she was in a fish bowl.  Parts that were sort of clear were demanding that we go somewhere in the city where she would be for a few hours and being ID and sign some papers, but if we settled, send a stop order.  Then she gave a name of the filer and this number.  Then it sounded like she made a threat that she would come to our house.  First of all, the phone she called is a buy minutes phone that I have had at least five years.  The number is not published and only family and a few friends have the number.  I have no debts, so either she had the wrong number or they are calling random numbers trying to scare people.  I have also gotten debt collection calls for someone with a foreign name.  My poor mother in law gets calls all the time demanding money that she doesn't owe.  I can only guess that the scammers (thieves) are out in force.
