Did they call because I got a new Verizon cell phone? Others seem to have called on that premise.
How much information is Verizon giving out?

Please keep in mind the "Do Not Call" list only applies to cold calls.  If you purchase something, and if you send in a warranty card, etc., you are creating a relationship and these kinds of calls no longer fall under "Do Not Call".  Same with bill collectors, although if you're being called about someone else's debt (too common in these days when someone who's not paying their bills can dump their cell number and you get stuck with it) the legit bill collectors will/should stop calling.  (Source: http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0108-national-do-not-call-registry -- see item 30 about survey companies.)

Lori Gutbrod, president of Advantage Research, sent me an email this morning assuring me that I would be removed from their list.  In the past three hours since receiving that email, I have gotten two calls from Advantage Research.  Apparently their definition of removing someone from their calling list is to increase the frequency of the calls.

I've received two calls in two days from this company.  They never leave a message.  I have an unpublished number and am on both the state and federal do not call lists.  I even have a warning on my voicemail greeting that I am on the DNC list and do not accept telemarketing calls.  That still doesn't deter them.

I believe you must work for this "research" company... and in that case I dont like your tone. Some of us get nearly 500 calls a day, of those 500, approximately 100 are telemarketers, researchers, bill collectors (for past or present employees), which is just a diluge of unwanted, unsolicated, and relentless calls. I have asked REPEATEDLY to be taken off of this list with no avail. Infact, Advantage Research has called multiple numbers trying to get around me. I'm not telling you no because its fun. I'm telling you no because we do not have the time to deal with this crap. Now I understand the people on the other end of these calls has a much needed job to do, but they are only wasting our time, their time, and most likely this research companies money by calling the same numbers over and over and over... And thenk goodneess we are buying a new phone system in which I can finally block all future calls from you people.

Called me 12/01/11 at 5:34 p.m. I missed the call. I don't want to be called while I'm trying to fix dinner!

Don't ever call me with anything at almost 9pm.  That is rude and unnecessary.  Some of us have to start our days at 4am.  I do not want any calls for my opinion etc, I have not purchased anything I need to talk to anyone about.  Leave me alone!!!!!

watch out for this phone number.they are a survey company.

It's from a marketing research company called Advantage Research. They call to ask you opinions about products or services you may have received, so that they can go back to the company and tell them what kinds of things their customers are saying so they can change it and make it better. They never try to sell you anything, and sometimes even give you money for your opinions if it's that kind of study.

It's actually kind of fun taking surveys, especially if it is about a service you were especially dissatisfied with. Then you can bash them all you want and know it will get back to the company without being attached to your name, and hopefully they'll whip themselves into shape to better serve you!

If you don't want to participate in the survey, you can just answer the call and ask to please be removed from the list. Simple as that =)

These guys don't give up until you yell at them.  they even are calling on my cell phone because that was the contact number that I gave them.  Quick stop was to answer and tell them that I will not participate in any services or surveys.  Haven't called in several weeks now.

Calls CONSTANTLY!  HATE IT!  I did a search for the number and found out it's tide to a land line out of Menomonee Falls, WI.

I to KEEP getting calls from this number.  ADVANTAGE needs to get the hint that the public is not interested in what they want.

This company is not a telemarketing company. If you took 5 minutes to view the website you would find out it's a research company. You are being called to participate in a survey evaluating products or services you may have received.

If you do not wish to be called and asked your opinion, it's VERY easy to answer the phone and ask to be removed from the list. Advantage has never and will never try to sell you anything.

the number has been calling for 2 weeks, and no messages.

called last night at 7 pm and tonight and 6 pm.  both times no message left.  getting a little annoying!  obviously a telemarketer if calling at the same time and not leaving messages.
