Yup.  Homesite does the underwriting for homeowners insurance for many of the major insurance companies.  I have mine through Geico.

I keep getting these calls and surveys in the mail.  My suspicion was the same as yours, just trying to bump the rates.  Not sure if my mortgage company keeps them apprised of my home value, but it has dropped over the past few years.  Maybe I should alert them to that fact =)

This is some group calling about insurance crap on our home.  They keep saying they want to "update" it, even though nothing has changed, so that they can "make sure we have enough coverage."  Basically they want me to give them a reason to raise our rates...again.  Anyway, they're from some group called Marshall & Swift Boeckh LLC out of Wisconsin, and it says they're a "data processing company."  They usually, but not always, leave a voicemail, and although they don't seem rude, I don't think it's worth talking to them.  I have Progressive home insurance, which is not actually Progressive, but some other company hiding behind them called Homesite.
