I GOT AN E-MAIL STATING MY CREDIT CARD HAD BEEN PUT ON HOLD & I NEEDED TO CALL THIS NUMBER BUT IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE A TRUE PHONE NUMBER

I got a very similar email just yesterday. I would not call the number, most banks have a toll free number that usually start with something like 800, 866, something like that. It looks like this number is just a regular made up phone number. Banks would have a signature by your bank name which this does not like Chase Bank, Key Bank, US Bank, etc. Banks would not send an email either, they are more likely to call from a toll free phone number. So I definitely would not call because if anyone does answer they will most likely ask you for personal information they are trying to use to sell to a fraud ring.

when you open their e-mail they try to hack into your computer....it is a fraudulant number. It is also an out of country code. Use caution wh=en opening e-mails from unknown sorces. Iknew it was a fraud because I dont have ANY credit cards nor have I applied for one..Good Luck and i hope you have good anti virus and spyware....

Am not going to call that number.

READ THE EMAIL - IS YOUR NAME ON IT? OR IS IT GENERIC?
CALL THE BANK DIRECTLY WITH A KNOWN GOOD NUMBER
NEVER USE THE EMAIL! BANKS DO NOT SEND EMAILS OR TEXT MESSAGES..

wasn't a call, but got an email saying that my "account has been put on hold...please call this number". I looked it up online and a few people have gotten the same email.
