This is Sallie Mae collections.  They show on  your caller ID as wireless caller.  This company keep calling even though>  I have notified them about disability condition and working with a counselor

Persistent calls from this number. No message left on answering phone.
Possibly from a north eastern state.

harrassing unprofessional calls from this number... odd that here it is coming up sallie mae because when I answered it they said they were south beach and wanted my bank account number which I NEVER give over the phone

I have received repeated phone calls from this number.  Eventually I was called by 302-528-8617.  When I called the number, I received a live agent.  If you are trying to reach someone real, just call their main line at:

So this morning at 8:11 am I got a call from this number, i usualy don't answer it but ignore it cuase i do think that it's sally mae.  I did the same thing this time but this time they left me a message.  It was a 2 minute message of nothing, sounded also like a hispanic person talking little and brokwn english. (No offense at all to anyone who is reading this, please. I don't mean anything rude by it, just trying to expalin what I heard so if this ever happens to anyone else out there.) The whole thing was very stange, kinda creepy.  I deleted it, but on second thought I probably should have kept it...I dont know. I was stupid to Co-Sign a loan from Sally Mae for my brother.  Worse thing I've ever done!

Received call from this number.came in wireless.they said they were Sallie Ma asked me to verify i was rick____ by me giving social etc. I then started to ask them why it didn't say Sallie Mae,They then hung up. Could be scam .I don't know.

This number is indeed one of many Sallie Mae numbers.  My daughter has a student loan with them, which I cosigned.  When she gets a little behind, they call me incessantly.  Most of the time when I answer, the call disconnects.  This is due to their automatic dialing system - it is horrible.  Here's my solution: Everytime they call me and disconnect, I immediately call them back 5 to 10 times and hang up as soon as a person answers.  Childish, I know, but it's fun.  Eventually they will call back from a "Private Number".  They ask if I'm trying to reach Sallie Mae.  I tell them no, I'm just returning the favor of answering a phone in vain.  If we all do this we can jam their switchboards and maybe force a change.

It's Sallie Mae.  My biggest regret in life is taking out a student loan.  I'm underemployed, my loans have been in forebearance or deferred as long as they can be.  Anyone reading this, DO NOT take out a loan for college.  It is not worth it.  You are better off not going at all or saving for a few years so you can pay for it yourself.

Dude this number annoys the crap out of me, It's always calling! ALWAYS! then you answer and no one says anything, they hang up.

they keep calling every 15-30 minuites from 8am - 9pm. If indeed it is Sallie Mae, I've spoken to them to s/u deferred payments untilI I actually find a job, and of course a different phone number.

I called back the number and it is Sallie Mae.  A recording picks up and asks you for your social security number - don't give it.

It's Sallie Mae, they always call at the same time every morning and then several times throughout the day. They also have calls coming in from different Area Codes

no one ever says anything, just wakes everyone up at all types of hours. i'd rather have not get involved w/ student aid than deal w/ this crap!
