I know it won't do anything but I sent a text back saying that I would formally complain against their company.  Felt good to do it even though they'll do it again on a different number.  This has happened to me twice now.

Same, they wanted me to click on a link.

it read "wow John.... (link)"

Tried to get me to click a bit.ly link by using my name in the text.

News article. Money making scam. They even knew my name.
