Just received a call from 206-397-1127 @ 847 pm my time.  The person had a foreign accent and asked for me by first and last name.  I told him that it was late here.  He said there was a huge problem with my computer and that he was trying to save it.  I asked what company he was from he said PC Care and that there iqs a problem with my computer and that he would try to save it (he kept repeating this).  I said this sounds fishy and asked for a call back number, he gave me 267-344-1404.  He said his name was Chris Williams.  I had to have him repeat it 3 times because he said it really fast with a thick accent.

This is a massive scam. This company randomly calls for PC related problems and walks away with credit card information. Never ever let them access your PC even for free.

I also received a call about 45 minutes ago, and was very suspicious from the beginning.  He told me he was from Windows, and there were viruses attacking my computer, shutting it down day by day.  He told me, in very poor English, to click on the windows key and the R, and then type in a code, and tell him some numbers, which I did.  He told me it was very bad, and I needed to have them fix it.  He kept going on and on about how bad it was, and that I needed for them to fix it.  I kept saying it was a 10 yr old computer, and I didn't know if I wanted to fix it.  I finally asked for his phone number, which he gave me and I hung up.  Glad to find out my inclination was correct.  SCAM!

Just got a call from from an unknown number. I answered and a man said that he was from Windows Live and that they have been receiving reports that I had some malware on my computer. He asked my to look on my keyboard for two keys and wanted me to press them so he could show me what he was talking about. I did not have a good feeling and started asking questions like "If I am having problems with my computer why am I not getting any notifications" his answer was that they are getting notifications to their office. He was trying again for me to push these buttons and I told them that I wanted them to talk to my husband (who works in IT) which I did not tell them that. He asked me who was the owner of the computer and I told him my husband. I asked for his name and a number where he could be reached and he gave me this number and that his name was Samuel Martin. I asked him to spell it to make sure that I had it right. He kept asking me when would my husband be calling back, what time etc..... So I got a hold of my husband and he said what you would be doing is opening up your computer for them to either download something onto it or they would be able to access all of your file. I am going to file with the FTC and notify Microsoft. Be aware.

Was called a few weeks ago given the story that I had malware on my computer. I told this guy I was not about to give him access to my computer that I would take care ofr this myself.  He was highly argumentative arguing that his was legitimate and only trying to help.  When I offered to have my office computer support staff call him he hung up.

He called yesterday again and my husband answered.  He then gave me the phone.  I told the guy that he had tried this only me a few weeks before and I was not giving him access to my computer.  He was beligerant and insisted he had never called before (he had a very distinctive voice).  I hung up and he called back three times.  He gave me his phone number (he had to ask someone what the number was) and his name "Leo" and told me to call him in he morning after I had checked the Microsoft license number he gave me (I didn't).  I hate to think how many people have been conned by this guy!

This is a scam job.  The scammers actually 'grabbed' control of my computer while I was on the internet and shut it down.  I had a computer guru friend of mine clear it up.  They called the very next morning offering to 'fix everything' for an unspecified $ amount.  The cover page on my computer mentioned the FBI, etc.  I played along at first and got call-back numbers (302-622-4240 and 267-344-1404).  When they called back again two days later I advised them I had turned over their numbers and scam to a friend of mine in the real FBI.

I just received a call from this number.  The caller said he was calling from NY and his name was Sam Watson.  He claimed my PC had serious problems he needed to help me with.  I received a simialr call about a month ago and was alomost dupped then.  THIS time I took his name (probably fake) and his number and said I would have my husband call back later.

this is a scam company who said they were from AdvanceP.C.care.com and my computer had alerts and warnings to the tune of 31000. After being leary of the call and asking a bunch of questions they still convinced me they were legit so I  paid them to clean up my computer, now I'm concerned they did something that is not right, How do I know I'm still safe.
