I just call them back and then hang up on them. Play the game...it's fun!

They just called me. I won't waste my money calling them back (it's long distance.) It's either a telemarketer or bill collector (even though I am on the do-not-call list.)

Just received 2 phone calls today before 9am from this number. No VM left.

Keeps calling me , when you call back there is no answer...

I blocked this number after they called around 8:15 am on Saturday but I am sure they will call back with another number and I will block it also. They hang up when the answering machine comes on. Hey, must not be too important huh!

they called and said they were a debt collector on my voicemail...I think its funny that they know it's a voicemail but yet they still say...If you are not this person then hang up...to which I am not that person...but they know your voicemail won't hang up so they continue to talk? LOL

rec'd call from this number.  Not sure who it was from so I did not call it back.

I got a phone call from 267-612-4490 and they didn't leave a message.  I think that they are sneaky and they are NOT on the BBB.org lists and if they don't have credibility with them, don't give out your number.  ALWAYS ask who they are if they only ask for your first name.  They may be just a phishing company to depleat you of your good credit.

I tried to call them after entering *67 which blocks your own number to them, and it gives me a busy signal. RIGHT! like they're ligit.. (NOT!!)

pass it on that this is a bogus number.

I just got a call from this number.... glad I looked here before wasting my time calling it back.

I got a call from this number and couldn't answer because I was at work.  I figured it was business but they left no message.  They they call my Mother's house!  The girl left a message asking to call back to Sierra but wouldn't talk to her.  I got another call and she left a message to call her about  a debt.  What debt?  Most likely a scam looking for ID information of some sort.  If they get a name and number, a few more pieces of info and they have a profile ID.   I called and the girl asked what number was called, she then asked if they had the name correct and wanted me to give them my social security number!!!!  haha.  I told the con artists if they ever called me again I would let them have it.  Writing an email to PA states attorney now.

I do not recognize this number and this number has started to call my home 3-4 times a day. It is very annoying.  I don't pick up an answer because, like I said, I don't recognize the number. I am on the Do Not call list. Why am I getting these calls?

I got two of these calls today.  The don;t leave a message.

Had a call from the same phone number on my call waiting as I was on the original line. Since I did not recognize the number, I did not answer. I owe no one any past due amounts. I get at least one call a week from different phone numbers which are collection agencies. When I have answered, I get various names over the past five years.

I had a call from this morning on my cell phone and I did not reconize it and did not answer it either.  Try calling it back and it says please hold for next availble person...

I received a call from 267-612-4490 on my cell phone. I do not give my cell phone number out except to a few family and friends.  Since I did not recognize the 267 area code, I did not answer the call.  From JLW's post, I'm glad I did not answer this call.  Thanks to 800notes.com for this service.

My phone is on the no call list

Had a missed call from this number, so I called it back.  The person answered the phone "Hello".  I told them I had rec'd a call from this number and wanted to know who it was.  She asked if I was my first name, I said yes, this is she.  The caller then started to talk about me owing on an HSBC card.  

The only HSBC card that I have has been charged off for five years, so I am not about to start making a payment and reinstating the debt.  I don't dispute that it is mine.  My state only allows the creditors five years.

However, the person did not ask me to identify myself, except for my first name.  She also did not identify herself, or what company she is with.  I have no idea if this was a legitimate debt collector, but I am not going to give out my bank information to someone who is not playing by the FDCPA rules.

Do not disclose personal information to someone who does not identify themselves, and does not attempt to identify YOU.  Regardless if you owe the debt or not.  Anyone could pull your credit, see that you have an outstanding balance, and attempt to collect it.
