Keep getting calls from this number.  I let the answering machine answer.  Call disconnects immediately.

I just received a call from 267-851-0993, a woman asked to speak with Mr. or Mrs. & knew our last name.  Identified herself as Lauren & said she was calling to schedule the chimney sweep.  I said, "no thank you."  She just stayed on the line & said nothing so I hung up.  This number calls our house frequently, we usually don't answer.  Definitely some sort of scam!

got a call from this number today and when i tried to call it back, it kinda sounded like a fax machine....but not really....so i googled the # and this is what came up

can you say scam....unfortunately the gov't cannot protect us from scammers overseas....which is where most of the scams are originating from....so, we pretty much need to educate overselves to protect ourselves from these scammers who try to take advantage of hard working people!

We just got a call from 267-851-0993. Caller ID said Willow Grove, PA.  It was a man and he was talking really fast. All I got from it was something about pins, needles and sh*t.  When I didn't say anything, he hung up.

I just got the call and a girl named Sam asked me what i was wearing. I said "well, Sam from Willow Grove..who do you think you;re talkin' to?' She hung up

I just got a call from this number today and did not answer it and after reading these posts, I am so glad I didn't. I just tried calling back a few minutes ago and it went to a fax machine. I live in PA and on my caller ID it comes up Willow Grove. I see that the people who have answered have been told a company name Patriot Furnance and Roofing Company, I'm going to do a Google search and see what I come up with.

Very official sounding- needed to schedule an immediate inspection of the chimney flue since we use gas or oil for heating (that would be a good guess in the Philadelphia area). Didn't identify themselves- just needed to make an appointment for the inspection. Cut them off before they got any further.

I receive several calls a day from this number. When I answer there is silence. I am on the do not call list, but apparently it doesn't matter.

Two days in a row, caller did not respond to my "Hello?" Noises in the background, hung up on me. Returned the call, both times got the FAX. Perhaps calling to see if anyone is in the home? I assume they have a truck with "chimney" or "roofing" on it, plus ladders. Sounds suspicious. I will no longer answer calls from this number.

Now that's funny, I got a call from this number also..........I don't even have a chimney!

I just recieved a phone call from this number and  the woman basically said all of the above comments but when I said I wasn't interested....that we already have a contract w/ another furnance company......then she threatened me by saying "You're going to be sorry!!"  I'm also  on a do not call list so how did she get my number? I tried recalling the number to voice my displeasure with the rude woman but it went to fax also.  This worries me as well as makes me mad. I  DON'T LIKE TO BE
THREATENED!

Got many calls from this number. Any suggestion to tell them to stop calling???

Just received a call from this number and Googled it. Am reading all the past posts. I don't answer the phone unless I know who it is. Thanks for all the information. But my question is what ever happened to the Federal and State "Do Not Call" lists? My home number and cell phone number are on both lists and I still get crank phone calls. Why bother putting your numbers on these lists if they can and still do call you?

The second call I received from this number was from a fax machine.  My solution to annoying fax machine calls is simple....  I return the call from my fax machine.  In the machine I place a loop of 8X11 black paper that feeds forever or until I shut it off.  I figure after a half hour or less his machine has printed a ream of black paper using up all of its ink, toner, ribbon, whatever.  Makes me feel better.

I got a call from this number and it was a woman who left me a message. She said, "Who sits at my desk and messes with my things. Thanks Aaron, thanks." I checked my phone book to see if I recognized this number. It wasn't any of my friends. I don't work at a job that has a desk for me so I don't see how this could be anyone I know. I googled the number and found this site. I pretty worried now, and I don't know what to do. I see this number call the house every day, and I never pick up.

Just received 2 calls from this number today.  Said she was from patriot chimney and she used to do our Chimney cleaning..Um, don't think so lady!

Just wanted to inform you of a potential scam...caller who called my house two times urgent to speak with me...said he was calling from Patriot Furnace and Roofing Company to schedule an appointment with me to clean my roof and furnace pipes leading to my roof. He was insistent on needing to clean it tomorrow as he would be in my area. He said that we had used him before about 6 years ago and it was time for a cleaning again. He was going to charge me $115 to clean it but the inspection was free. I said I needed to check with my husband and would get back to him. I asked him for his name and he said it was Danial Adams and I should call back this number 1-866-250-9289. He knew my name and address...so I was a bit skeptical and concerned as this person had called my number not too long ago about 2 months ago for the same purpose. Not sure what these people are up to ...but it can't be anything good. Afraid this whole thing is a set-up and scam so please beware of these people. I researched the web for their numbers and said Willow Grove, PA and found other people who had received this not so legit call as well. So...makes me wonder if they are in the robbing business. Make sure to report any suspicious behaviors to the police regarding these people...and call 911 as I am about to make a serious report. Sincerely, Sue

This number came up as unknown name - I answered it thinking it was my friends's cell phone. A woman claimed to be from Patriot Chimney and Furnace Service and was calling to schedule our annual inspection of our furnace and chimney. She talked very quickly (threw in something about uncleaned chimneys being the biggest reason for carbon monoxide in the home). When I interrupted her to tell her we didn't have a furnace she hung up before I could ask to be removed from the calling list. A call back went to a fax machine.  What kind of authorities can this be reported to? If I would have agreed to an "inspection" what would have been the result? My home being robbed? Nothing?

I got a call from (267) 851-0993 as well.  They said they wanted to set up a chimney cleaning.  It was a woman who at first was yelling to someone in the background.  She then asked for my husband by his last name.  I said he was at work and can I take a msg.  She said she would call back after his vacation.  I made sure to correct her - he was NOT on vacation just at work.  It made me suspicious so I did a reverse lookup of the phone number.  Then I googled it and found this string.  I am interested to hear what others have to say.

The guy called my house. Talked fast, said he was from ___ chimney inspection. Said he sent a letter to my house about inspection and I never answered the letter. He knew my address and said he was going to be on our street this week and wanted to schedule an inspection. He made it sound like he was a city inspector but when I questioned him further he said he wanted to inspect the chimney, flu pipe and sweep. I told him I didnt need the service (I built my my home and it is new and the fireplace has seen limited use). He could hear my kids in the background so when I turned him down he replied "Yeah and you dont have kids in the house" and hung up on me. I was upset by this so I tried to call him back and I got the fax too. My plan is to send him a nice fax and report him  to the authorities :)

I got a call and called it back and got a fax machine...   this appears someone might be using a fax machine to make calls...   I have never seen a fax hang up so quickly upon a voice answer - it normally negotiates on the line first
