got a call     268-762-0010  10:30 02/05/2014   "one ring scam"...local tv station just ran a story...they hope you will call back ........YOU MAY BE BILLED $20.00  AND $9.00 a min.

I GOT SEVERAL CALLS WITH AREA CODE 268, THEY ARE ALL SPAM AND IF YOU ANSWER THEM YOU GET CHARGED 20 DOLLARS AS IT IS A LONGDISTANCE OUT OF COUNTRY CALL, THERE ARE AT LEAST 5 NUMBERS WITH THIS AREA CODE, MY ADVISE, DO NOT ANSWER OR REPLY AND BLOCK CALLER

Do not call that phone number back!  You will get charges $19 per minute .  It is a adult phone line

Same here. I got a call from this number once or twice every week for 3 weeks. Call block helps but it would be nice to get to the source.  I don't pick up any numbers I don't know or recognized. Beside if it is important they'll leave me a message.

This has nothing to do with the Target (or Neiman-Marcus or Michael's) CC exposure problems. This sort of scam has been around for quite a while. The scammers don't buy lists of numbers (that would cost money), they just have robo-callers dial random numbers and hang up after 1 ring (although you may hear 2 rings). When you call back, they may use high pressure tactics to sell you something or they may have a means to charge you several dollars a minute while you are on the phone. Received a call late at night; one ring and hung up.  Didn't answer.

Do NOT call this number back. The area code is in ANTIGUA - a Caribbean country. If you call back, you will be charged overages! It is a scam, trust me.

Received calls from this number twice.   Once after 12:30 am and again on another day after 9:00pm.
I never call back a number that is not in my phone contacts , or one  I do not recognize.
Then I got this email through my job warning of the scam:

This number called me yesterday at 8 AM and let it ring once then hung up.

I just received another call from this number (268) 762-0010. What's very bizarre is that I only received the calls on Saturdays my first time receiving it was like 2:30 am  in the morning Pacific standard time today I received it at 9:30 pm Pacific standard time. It's the same ring twice hang then show a missed call this has to be investigated why some many are receiving these types of calls from this particular number!  Has anyone had any luck with their phone carriers by reporting the incident?

Just recieved a call from (268)762-0010 a one ring wonder. Didn't pickup or call back, just googled it and... Viola!

This number when it calls will ring twice, then disconnect.  I read the other reports and I am suspicious.

PPlease keep an eye on your phone bill this is a known scam.19.99 to connect the call and outrageous fees for additional minutes on the phone if you call the number back.  I'm sorry this happened to you.

Received a call from this number today but did not recognize area code looked it up Argentina

Really? At 3:00 AM?

I got a call from a Rhode Island (401 area code) number that had no-one on the other end when I picked up (verifying the number is active?) then started getting calls from this 268 number.

but I have never shopped at Target and never will because of the way they treat employees associated with US armed Forces, so it has nothing to do with CC or DC hackers

Got the same call again for the 3rd time in a week.  Theses people are a** holes

Called me today at 4 pm. Couldn't answer & tried to return call. Said I wasn't authorized to access account! On do not call list - go figure!

I just got a call from that same number last night around 9:45 pm. It rang twice then stopped. I called back and realized it's a number out of the country. I'm sure it's a scam.

I received a call at 7:59  on my cell phone. rang once, no message  probably scam.

You shouldn't call the number back!!  Look on line, you'll see that these overseas calls will cost you a FORTUNE & there's nothing regulating the fees they can charge because they are out of the US!!!!

Got a call last night around 10:00 pm and again today at 9:00 a.m.  How annoying!  Same situation as everyone posting.  Barely rings and then hangs up.  I will never answer these calls.  I just want them to stop right now.
