I have received. Number of calls from this number one rind than hang up.

This is the second time in one week that these scammers have called my cell phone. If it keeps happening, I am going to have to make AT&T chalk up the costs of giving me a new cell phone number.

Received call fm 268-762-0024. Not a cell phone person so I don't care if someone calls, my phone is always off - use it only in town where I get coverage. My friends know to call on the landline. Caller ID showed it from Antigua/Barbuda. First, don't just blindly answer your phone. If you don't recognize the number, do not answer! Don't be curious! Answering/calling back shows them there's a live person on the other end who just may be gullible. Put the number on your phone's blacklist, as T-Mobile calls it, or whatever your phone calls it. Yes, the number is ever changing. Ask your phone provider if there's a way to block all numbers from that particular area code. It is hitting various providers, Verizon, At&T, T-Mobile, so understand that alot of these scammers have computerized dialing and will continue to dial until they hook someone either curious or mad enough to answer. I have received this # Twice now.  I haven't answered it but I know it's a scam.  

I just got a ring from 268 762 0024. Same thing. One ring. It's a scam. What's really scary is I DO NOT have a Verizon number, but I JUST registered my number with Verizon for FiosTV registration, and BAM less than an hour later the thieves have my number. Calling Verizon to complain now.

There are a number of call-blocking solutions:

1) your phone provider might provide a blocking feature for a limited number of phone numbers,

2) built-in call-blocking features found on some smart cell phones,

3) software (for cell phones),

4) hardware (land line), and

5) a combination of hardware and software (land line).

What has worked best for my situation (a land line) is a call-blocking device.  I set the device to block *all* numbers by default and then added ("invited") only the phone numbers of people I know.

This number calls, rings once and hangs up.  Is there a way to block these numbers?  Or even block the entire area code?

Several calls from this number....rings 2or3 times then hangs up.

Called me my daughter no answer when called back

They called me yesterday, 1 ring and I didn't answer. They just called me and it was 2 rings before they hung up.

I received a call from this number and like the others on this post it rang 3 times and they hung up. What is interesting is that I am selling a music keyboard on creigslist, and someone who called himself "Berry" in a text message offered to send me a check. I gave him my publicly listed address. He sent the classic scam check of $1000 more than I was asking. Then asked me in a text to give the over payment to the person he would send to pick up merchandise. I took note that the 2 different phone numbers he used both had US prefixes. Now I get this call...look like an effort at multiple scams at once. Be vigilant people!

Have received several calls from this area code (Antigua/Barbuda) - all are "hang-up" calls.  Too bad they aren't blocked by the "do not call" list. We block each number with an app on our cell phones.

I just received a call they left no message when I tryed to call back from my cell phone it said my cell phone was not set up t make this call-called from home phone an wouldn't go threw

Missed a call from this unknown number but no message. I have Verizon an live in the US The call came in around 8:30am

Called at 1am! Rang once and then stopped. No message and will NOT call back based on this. Thanks

I am AT&T, but I carried my same number over from Verizon when I switched service providers.

Same number here 268-762-0024 called me like 5 mins ago. I'd say they're using the same number over and over. Any way someone in technoland could look into this?

I also got a call from the 0024#.  I answered and said hello 2 or 3 times and they hung up.  I did not call back but googled this number.  Do you know if they can get any info from the phone even if we do not call back???  I didn't, but it always worries me.
