It is the "One Ring" Scam - don't call it back. Will automatically charge $X.XX to your bill.

It rings one time and they hang up.  When some people see that somebody called they call back and get charged huge fees per minute.  its a scam.  Jsut ignore.

Don't call back. Call your cell phone carrier and check your bill carefully. Unauthorized charges only occur when you call back

Scam number keeps calling

They charge you 20$ for the call and 10$ for every minute you are on the call

I made a mistake. They called my cell. and my carrier is Verizon. No name came up with the number when they called.

Received a call from this number one night and 268-762-0159 a couple of nights later both calls at 9:45pm

just got a call from that number and blocked it.

This number called me twice on cell on January 31st 2014 I didn't answer and no message was left.

Received a call today from this number. Did not answer it figuring it was a scam.

received a one-ring call. Called the number back, hung up in a few seconds when it was clear there was no one there. Since I have a pay-ahead go-phone, I'm wondering if they have any means to charge me for this call.

Keep getting this call on my cell and I will not answer it!

Got a call from 268-762-0047 twice now.  Rang twice no message the other time I answered but nothin on other end.

This number called me on Feb.3  about 1:17 p.m. ID says Antigua/Barbuda.  Two rings, no voice mail.

I got a call from 268-762-0048. I looked at the info posted here and I called Verizon to get it blocked. Verizon said it is a scam and that if I had called back they would have gotten info from my cell.

If you have an iPhone w/iOS7, just press the little i in the circle next to the number and then scroll down to where it says Block this Caller. If you do not have iOS7, save the number as a contact and then block the number. You can't make them stop but you can keep them from bothering you.

I do not believe this is the case    last night around 11pm I received a call from the same number.  this is twice now in the past week I received calls  268-762-0048 and 473-456-1759  What I do know is that the second number is part of a scam.  If you return the call you will be charged a fee to your cell phone account.

I just got a call from them this morning. I have an upcoming cruise to the Bahamas and reached out to some of the hotels there regarding a day pass to the beach. I'm curious if this is how they got my number or maybe from someone within the cruise line (Carnival). I know my CC info was previously stolen from someone at Royal Carribean, so any weird activities around cruise time makes me suspicious.

Very true, if you call back it will ring once hang up on you, but charge you 19.95 each time. Don't answer, don't call back and like it was stated above, notify your mobile provider about the scam, so you don't accidentally end up with a huge bill.

I did not hear the phone ring so did not answer. Saw I missed a call on a cell phone that is listed on the National Registry for Do Not Call. They left no voice mail and I am not calling the number back. I cannot believe we put our numbers on a Do Not Call list and these still get through to us and irritate all of us.

Do not call back.. Numbers like these can charge you hundreds of dollars per minute.. There is a huge thing going on with them right now..they keep u online as long as possible

Thanks for this info.  I just got a call from this number.  268-762-0048.  Again I don't know anyone from Antigua/Barbuda.  Thanks for these comments so I know what to do now.
