This number always appears on the CallerID as MI FOP, I do not answer

BTW - the woman's voice you heard on the phone wasn't us.  Our phone call to you never got through.

Got this call today from 269-477-2162, (10/6/2011), I looked into this number it is out of Kalamazoo, Michigan. yes it is a telemarketer call. I will now block this number on my phone. For my phone service is a VOIP and you can block all of these calls for free. if you have High-speed internet, VOIP phone will work for you and the price is very low, do yourself a favor and google "VOIP" I like mine now for years and after I block these fools from calling, it ends right there no more calls from them. Ok people good luck.

I've received calls from 269-477-2162 about 3 times now. We don't answer because we don't recognize the phone number. We are also on the DO NOT CALL list. What's up with these people?
We are really tired of the phone calls we receive like this. FTC should put a stop to this!

Got 4 calls from this number, I never answered, no message was left.  I don't answer unknown numbers.

Got a phone call from this number. The caller did not leave any message.

same thing and i don't answer UNKNOWN or UNAVAILABLE numbers.....3-4 times a week and never leaves a message either.

Had received about 5 calls from this number. Got a call from them today (sat). I answered and heard message "wait while we transfer you" or something like that. Then a man asks for "Nguyen". I say "you have the wrong number". Then he starts repeating my number and asking me, is this your number?" I again say, you have the wrong number and again he starts repeating my number. Finally I say stop calling this number, there is no one here by that name and he is persistent, repeating my number again. Ahhhhh! Finally, I hang up. When they call my number and they ask me to verify my number, I never do. Well, they are the ones who called me, so they have my number right. Very annoying.

I get about 5 calls a day from this number.  I do not answer because I haven't ordered anything lately. As I'm typing this message I got a call from number 231-337-2147 caller ID Confirmsales.  So watch out everyone, they might have changed phone numbers.  I too am on DO NOT CALL LIST.

The usual scam runs like this: There is always a small shipping charge for which you have to pay with a credit/debit card to scam your card details out of you. You will not receive the gas/shopping cards they promised you or if you do, there will be so many conditions that they will be useless. Buried in the fine print of the agreement you've entered into with them and which they will not inform you, is authority to charge your card with negative-option subscriptions that are *really* difficult to cancel. If you've given them your card info, be sure to check your statements carefully for strange charges that repeat every month. If they show up, tell your bank this is fraud and to kill your card.

I have been getting at least 6 calls a day and night from this number.  How does a person report them to the FCC?  How can we make it stop?  I purchased some furniture online and the "store" told me they don't sell phone numbers and they don't have anything to do with Kalamazoo MI.  They are in Georgia.  I'm very concerned.  How long does this go on?  And I, too, have answered the phone.  One time after saying "Hello" several times a man told me he was with Vista and because of a recent purchase by phone or internet, that I was a "preferred customer" and was entitled to gas vouchers if I signed up for a discount purchase plan that had many, many merchants to choose from.  I told him I wasn't interested and we hung up.  Now the phone log is full of the 269-477-2152 number, saying OrderConfirmation.
Has anyone had success getting rid of these people and has there been any negitive outcome with creit cards?

I too have had these nut jobs call. They talk a mile a minute and got very angry with me when I started asking THEM questions and told them I do not have a visa card. Glad to see there is some documentations here stating that they are the scam I thought they were.

I received a call from a man this morning in regards to an ?online order purchased? he stated I had purchased something online with my Visa card. I told the man I had not ordered anything and that I did not have a Visa card to which he replied oh I meant your bank card .He told me because of my recent order through someone who is partnering with them online that I would be getting a packet in the mail ?a gift to me ?$150.00 in gas cards part of a reward system through their smartshopping program? He also mentioned that for a fee I could continue getting the gas cards he would bill my Visa bank card.
They had the last four digits of my visa card and wanted to confirm that I lived where I did and asked for my permission to send this packet to me....they refused to tell me WHO I had ordered from again I told the man I had not ordered anything over the internet he changed his story and said it was from a catalog. I argued with him and told him he was mistaken he insisted I give him my new address .I told them no and he asked three times if I wanted to speak to his supervisor to verify this was legitimist.
I told him no I don?t trust either one of you This is a scam and hope an investigation is launched to shut these people down, I immediately went to the bank cancelled my bank card and had a fraud alert put on the new card,

This phone number is now blowing up my cell phone!! Ive called back once o tell them i didnt order anything and i ha to leave a message telling them my phone number and a good time to call back. So i did. Eerytime they have called since i answer and they hang up.  How can i make them stop???

Sounds like a scam to me, I just had my credit report run, they may be getting info from a credit place like experien and the like.

1st call from this number, only chatter in the background, then hung up.  They keep calling my phone but immediately disconnect when I answer....5 times in last 24 hrs is irritating, just not picking it up anymore.

I got 2 calls yesterday & 3 calls today. Did not answer as it was out of state area code of which I know no one at that number. What a scam! I did google this # & found this site as well.

Caller said he worked with Vista Services to promote a Smart Shopping Program.  Had last 4 digits of credit card, and  said it was received from a partner company where we had made a purchase.  They were going to send $150 credit toward gas purchase along with coupons for groceries, travel, restaurants, and entertainment.  I would be required to pay $2.95 for the food coupons and $2.95 for the travel/entertainment portion of the program.  This was for the fee for first month's trial.  Then my account would be charged $29.95 for each portion of the shopping program each month afterwards unless I called and cancelled during the first month. The first person who talked with me was a man who then transferred me to Jamie Jenkins to confirm my address.  Jamie talked too fast and was not receptive to my questions.  At this point, I told her to cancel the whole thing.  We were not interested.

This was definitely some kind of scam.  Would not advise anyone to share any info with this firm.

I agree this is scam! What concerns me is they have your last 4 digits or your charge card (maybe more} and I have an unlisted phone number. Something needs to be done.

I have recently started getting calls from this same #, I haven't ordered anything either, but I do have a Visa card through Bank of America, & Bank of America drives me crazy, calling with different offers daily. I was just wondering if anyone else who is getting these calls happen to bank with Bank of America? I blessed them out at Bank of America over the continuous annoying calls, & then the Order Confirmation place started calling the next day, & I find that odd, I am seriously thinking about doing my banking business elsewhere, surely all banks aren't like that. Please let me know if it is just Bank of America or if it's other banks as well. "Thank you very much!"

These people call me alllll the time. Lwave no voicemails, so annoying!

i've received about 6 calls taotl from 2 different numbers.  Both from Michigan first form (231) 732-2738 and just now from (269) 477-2152

They keep calling! No msg ever left.

This is the third call today, each one from a different number but with the same modus operandi. Very irritating and I would love to know how to block these calls, if this is possible.

Daughter just got a new phone from Verizon with a new number.  The very same day she got the phone she received 2 calls from the number and today another scam phone number 850-497-4817.
