talk about ignorance...
you are the ignorant one wasting your time and thinking that they are calling from the area code that is displayed (which they are not) and also for thinking that they care if their offer is legal in your area or not. If someone signs up then the legality of the call does not matter and if they don't sign up then I think you should wate more of your time reporting the illegal activity and getting them shut down.
Oh yea, who exactly are you going to report for making this illegal call?
Get a clue you idiot.
And you think Americans are ignorant.  HA!!!
Thanks for the chuckle.  Have a nice day.

I received the same as MT, but I'm not sure it referenced 'Equifax'.  It just stated I need to press 1 to redeem my 2600 travel points, and that my credit rating has increased.

I've been getting calls from this number on and off for weeks... sometimes, there's the "it could be your final offer" spiel. Most times, there's no message. so annoying.

Telemarketer
Yet more America-based tele-terrorism, this time from Michigan.

Americans: So ignorant that even their scammers waste time and money calling jurisdictions where their stupid bogus offers aren't even vaguely legal or valid. LOL.

Screened the call as the automated call went into my voicemail box.

It said as follows: "It has come to..." (I presume anyway - the very first words precded the beep prior to recording starting)...

"...our attention that you may be eligible for a significant interest rate reduction for all of your qualified accounts. If you currently carry balances that are higher than $4000- and you are paying 13% or higher on your VISA, Mastercard, American Express or Discover, please press 1 now to be transferred to a live operator to confirm your eligibility for new lower rates. This could be your final notice..." (Ha! Yeah right!) ... "... so please press 1 now. Press 3 now to be taken off our notification list." (Yeah, as if!)
