Just returned from Villa Sol.  Paid $400 for a 4 vacation package (Orlando, Daytona, Bahamas, and C.Rica) and we just used the C.Rica portion.  4 nights, was beautful, all inclusive.  Had to pay an extra $95 for meals for the 4 days but was worth it, buffet was beautiful, our room overlooked the bahia Papagayo.  I'd only recommend staying in C.Rica longer (perhaps somewhere else) so as to see more of this beautful country besides just the resort. Definitely 4-5 star.

Wow..

Some personal information here....and you are accusing somebody without being sure? I would be more careful with what you post if I was you. The information you posted here has nothing to do with the telemarketing issues being discussed here. You posted some inaccurate and false information, besides some private family information, accurate or not....still private. I wonder how you know some of these, where you got it from...and if you checked your source.

I received a phone call from Josh then his supervisor Mike offering a Premier Package for a family of four to 4 different locations (Costa Rica, Orlando, Daytona, Cancun) for $297.00. It sounded too good to be true! After asking several questions, I asked for their phone number and their website so that I could confirm that their company was legitimate. Through discussions, they asked me to go to wwww.mytour.com, however, when I insisted that I needed to talk with my husband before committing him to the 1 1/2 hr time share tour (one tour for each location), they hung up on me. I'm not sure if they're a scam, but if they're not interested in having consumers call back after they've researched their company, it certainly sounds "sketchy". BEWARE!

These scammers called my home and were such good salesmen that my boyfriend was interested in all the "travel " for $295.00 to Orlando with Disney Passes, Spain, Cancun, Costa Rico.  He gave them his credit card number and I walked in the house and he put me on the phone to confirm with them the credit card.  I immediately told them that we were not interested in this and would not authorize anything.  They would not take no for an answer and after we hung up they had "the manager" call my home and I told him not to call our home that we are not interested and he insisted on knowing why.  I told him the simple answer was we are not interested.  He told me that my boyfriend was interested and that it was me and he wanted an answer.  I told him again not to call my home.  He informed me that he would call as often as he wanted because they are a Costa Rico company and have the right.  These guys are out of Michigan.
He called my home four times in 5 minutes and kept saying "sorry about that wrong number"  I am waiting for his next call as I type this.  This is a scam and something needs to be done about them.  I am so irate and intend to pursue this further with the FCC.  It is a time share tour and they are scam artist.  I would advise anyone that they call to hang up immediately and hope you are not invaded with return calls as I was.

We got the call. We went to the resort. WE BOUGHT THE RCI POINTS! We had a wonderful stay, when we had a problem a lady called Daphne helped us sort it out immediately. The presentation was not high pressure in the slightest! They are truly nice people. The english sales manager was really pleasant and knowledgeable and Gil (our salesman) was too. No real pressure and really informative. We have been to 11 of these things and never purchased because high pressure just switches us off. These guys welcomed us, gave us contact numbers and I have been in contact with Richard the manager 3 times since we bought and he always helps us.
If you are ever thinking of purchasing timeshare then do it here.

I got one of these calls telling me I'd won a free vacation and sending me to the mycrtour website. When he asked me for a $299 deposit I told him I wasn't comfortable with putting any money down without a guaranteed reservation date, since I didn't have any assurance the dates I was interested in would ever become available, but if he'd send the booking info to my email address I was happy to call back and make a booking for specific dates. When he started blathering his way around instead of taking my email address I decided this sounded pretty sketchy, so I Googled "mycrtour" and this page popped up. I read off a few of the entries here and offered again to have the information emailed to me so that I could book specific dates.

He ended the call without bothering to take my email address.

I cleverly deduce that this is, in fact, a scam and the chances of ever actually getting an actual booking is pretty much indistinguishable from zero. At best.

These guys are a scam.  Don't listen to these fools posting on here trying to reassure everyone that it's all legit.  They want you to give up your credit card number upfront.  AND THEN you get an "confirmed email".  The guys were totally unprofessional.

I just got one of these calls today and they requested that I go to "MYCRTOUR.com".  It all sounded to good to be true, but like it was said earlier sounds too good to be true.  I informed the person that I would have to wait for my husband to come home as he has the credit card on him, and she told me to go look for an OLD BILL with the credit card info.  WOULDN'T THAT BE FRAUD????  Using someone else's account without thier permission?  I realized the truth and hung up.  I'd like to hear from someone who had actually purchased a package.

I got a call from Davinci Enterprises (561) 498-2767 (that's what caller ID displayed).  It was a prerecorded message advertising a trip to Orlando or Costa Rica.  Msg said to go to www.mycrtour.com or to caLL (866) 665-4940.  I am on the do-not-call list and should never have received this call. I reported it to the FCC.

It may not be a scam, but expect high-pressure sales tactics, usually to purchase a timeshare.

Be very wary if there is any hint of a request for money upfront.  A media report today has stated that 1/3rd of web and brick&mortar travel agencies in Europe have had fraud complaints. North America has tougher consumer protection rules - for a reason - and so be wary of companies not based in the U.S./Canada.

Pay with a credit card, that way if it does turn out to be a fraud, you will have recourse through your credit card company.

And, if you do get a reasonably priced vacation out of it, enjoy it!

How do you know it's a scam?  Did you do some research into it to confirm that it is a scam?  We just bought a vacation package from them and I am trying to verify whether these are ligitimate vacation resorts or not.

Great vacation experience! I am so glad we purchased this package. My husband and I were a bit skeptical about the offer in the beginning because it really seemed too good to be true. We originally regretted our decision to purchase, as money was tight at the time, but thank God it was non-refundable because we would have missed out on one of the best trips we?ve ever taken!  Although it took a bit longer than expected to receive our package in the mail, we?ve never been more satisfied.  We bought our package for $798.00 and vacationed at the Villas Sol Hotel and Beach Resort in Costa Rica.  B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L doesn?t even begin to describe it! We went on a grand canopy tour that was absolutely breathtaking and it was so incredibly convenient having all our meals/drinks already taken care of.  Both my husband and I would recommend this vacation to anyone and everyone that enjoys luxurious relaxation!

Vacation scam. "You've been awarded a $2900+ value vacation in beautiful COSTA RICA"... as long as you pay the balance by credit card right now... YEAH, RIGHT, THIS IS A SCAM... Allegedly your name and number was provided by a friend or relative through one of those 'Win a Vacation' collection boxes and "only 50 people in the U.S." have been drawn to receive the same offer. These cartoons say they are calling from Costa Rica, but don't speak spanish, and since they are calling from Costa Rica, they are exempt from all of the U.S. Do Not Call Lists, Federal Phone Solicitation Laws and supposedly the reach of the FCC... (I'm gonna file a complaint anyway and let the FCC decide if they are unreachable)... I think the best response is to call them back and give them the what for... interestingly enough, the 269 area code is a southern area code... the southern portion of Michigan's lower peninsula! What a bunch of scammers.
