It happens only in vodafone. So be carefull. I somehow  feel that Vodafone itself creating these kind of things. To overcome their debits.

After getting call from comros from +269 number now i got a call from +243 which is a congo number...it seems its a new way of looting money...so guys please dont pick or call back from such numbers...i wish there was a way to stop all this & report it to cops...but dont know how that can be done...if someone can please tell me

i had received missed call from this no. & called this no. but they spoke all rubbish & charged a very heavy call rate

Same case... Same number... a missed call at 3.20pm IST. Thankfully I sensed something fishy and checked Google before I called the number back.

I too got a missed call from this number 2698100225. At first I did not bother to pick it up. Then I called back. The person at the other end started asking my name in hindi. I did not reply, I kept asking why I got a call from this number. she kept insisting I tell my name. I refused and hung up. I was shocked to find Rs 50 deducted from my account. Beware of these cheaters.

Hi! its a new way of duping people's money i guess. even i got a call from 2698100217 & the lady was conversing in hindi..i was shocked to see 50 rps/min being charged to me for the call. where the lady was asking me wierd questions. How can such incidents happen. i want to complain about it but dont know where to go and who is responsible for it

Hi, I have just received the call from +2698100225, I dint pick the call because of unknown country code display (starting with 26). Thankfully I checked the google before calling back.

My mom had the same problem. She gave a missed call back to the number and INR 50 got deducted for half a sec of missed call. Good she didn't wait until someone picked up the call.

I too got a miss call from this number. Didn't call back as it seemed to be some prank call.

Just recd call from this very number.  Always wary of calls from unknown numbers I let it ring. Precisely 3 rings and stop. Googled the number and got to this post. Appreciate James reporting this today.

I thought it must be my brother calling from a charge card abroad. I called back to hear this lady in a thick Indian accent breathing heavily and asking various questions. I asked her who she was and why she gave me a missed call. She started evading my questions and wanted my personal information and what I was doing tonight. I refused and she continued to prolong the call. I said I did not want to continue this conversation and hung up. I was shocked to see a huge amount of money deducted from my prepaid mobile account for a 1 minute call! This bunch of crooks calls up unsuspecting people and gives them missed calls and when you call up you are charged International rates at the highest pulse per second. There is no information on this number. Tried searching google as well. Posting this complaint. It's high time Vodafone bans such people from duping its mobile subscribers. My mom got a similar call as well on her Vodafone number. Beware of such people and report such fraudulent activities!!

This number may not be a Michigan number but a masked number (Internet number) Reporting it as I am not sure of the identity of this number.

I got a missed call from +26981002##. without checking it properly, i called back. i didn't get any response from other end. then i realized something was wrong and immediately cut the call but by that time damage was happened. Some big amount got cut from my balance and shocked. That call duration was just for few seconds. So please don't pickup or call back any unknown numbers.
