Sorry about the typos.. Typing from my phone isnt working out well.

It is not a scam... I am happily employed with American Outboard. I SO enjoy my job and believe in it fully.. Why shouldnt we give people opportunities to go to work? Last I checked... People are hurtin for jovs. If someone doesnt want the job.. Then the opportunity is offered to the next person who posted thier resume. If you put your resume on a job website.. You should expect calls from employers... You really should consider it a blessing in times where people are running out thier unemployment... And bills aren't being paid. Lets not look a gifted horse in the mouth....eh? And stop your complaining, untill you have done your research and can legitamently make claims that are false. I LOVE working for American Outbound!!! You guys ROCK! <3

Bankers Life and Casualty Company is no scam. They have been in business over 130 years and they have over 250 offices across the country. No matter what your background is they can teach you an effective process for success. If you seek something different then just politely decline the interview. If you don't want calls from employers about jobs then do not post your phone number on Monster or CareerBuilder or any other globally public job board please.

Does NOT call i meant, we have no 269 numbers,

American Outbound does call from any 269 area codes so this is not an American Outbound call.

I just got a call from this number as well. It was some forgian (sp) woman cant hardly understand the woman. Not calling back I never heard of it and its not even in the BBB!!

The job is legitimate. My boyfriend went to the interview.

Yep, this number has called me too but I'm not on CareerBuilder, just Monster. Supposed to have an interview with someone in Kalamazoo for Bankers Life. The thing is that this number is not a Bankers Life number, it belongs to someone working for a company called American Outbound. They scan the resume boards and then start calling around to resumes data mined off the boards. The caller gets money for every person that they get to the interview. The job may be legit but I don't agree with the method of getting us there.

Give them a taste of their own medicine: call from Google mail, have fun calling that back, "Bankers SCAM Corp."
Heavy accent and could not tell what she was saying exaclty. Enough to smell deceit though.

I just received a call from the same lady with a heavy accent, I am an IT/Administrative Assisitant, not really looking to be a sales person. I agree with MS DIva, CB needs to be informed about this soliciting.
Ms Diva 2011-09-15 19:27:58 Unknown
I too have a resume on CB, and this lady with a heavy accent, I can barely understand called 2x about a job, I am a social worker!! We need to notify CB about this soliciting.

Thanks for all the help. I just recently posted a resume on CareerBuilder.com, and 3 days later got a call from this bank. It's not my field of interest and was wary of calling back. Now I know to ignore this number.

Yup same as others.....I wouldn't call back if I were you. They got my # off my careerbuilder resume. They also tried emailing me as well.
Suki76 2011-07-05 19:56:12 Unknown
Yup, they called because they found your resume on careerbuilder.com.

It's appears to belong to a local agency for Bankers Life and Causality Insurance out of Kalamazoo, MI. They are in a hiring mode again. Every time I make an update to my CareerBuilder resume and my Monster resume they calls and emails start.
I inquired about policy my mother had many years ago (since found out it lapsed) when she passed they started calling my cell and home asking if would come to work for them. I told them no thanks I've done that before and I can not afford to be unemployed daily weekly and monthly such as sales go. Since then, when ever I have made an occasional tweak to my on line resume's and they start calling and emailing.

I just got a call from them too... and I have a Geophysics bachelor's degree from WMU... a banking place that wants a geology major???
Jenny 2011-06-06 18:46:31 Unknown
I just got a call from this number, but no one answered. Since others have mentioned it was a call about a job interview, I wonder if they got my number off careerbuilder.com I know my resume can be viewed by employers. Does anyone else have a careerbuilder account? Also, are we all located in Southcentral Michigan? Because the call came from my area code, 269.

Got a call for a job I never applied for from bankers life, have done as much digging as possible no signs of a scam, but it smells like one. Any one know if this is legit or not?
