Same, female voice. Hung up after I said "Hi" - Who knows. Sketchy as heck though.

What's extra weird is that it was to a number associated with a phone application, not even through a wireless carrier as I don't have one.

Same story here as "Annoyed" above. Tried to call back and got a robo outgoing vm.

con job big time! got a call this a.m. asking for Deborah, then her husband William. I told her no one at this number was either person, she continued to question me, saying she was a long time friend who wanted to touch base with Deborah. When I asked how she got my number, she said a friend gave it to her as a point of contact.  I gave her Deborah's in laws number. No further contact. I also warned in laws!

When asked who is calling........ the female caller hung up!     my number is not listed, so I wonder how she got it.

Recieved a call from a woman from this number who called me by name. She then asked for my wife by name. Before I could ask who was calling she hung up. My concern is how she new my name? I go by my middle name. Any info please post.

Received a call froma woman said her name was Kelly, asked for me then hung up.  Would not pick up the phone.

Recieved call 12/13/07 from a female and she asked for my husband, when asked who was calling she hung up. Called the number back and she would not answer.

Thid just happened to mr. five mins ago. She asked if my name was.....I said yes then she hung up . Tried calling back not pick up......wtf is going on ?

Got the Call 2/3/11 Did not answer because i did not recognize the number and when i returned the call it went right to vm.

I just got a call from this number. I did not answer it because it was unknown. Then I called back and it went to vm, I wonder who it could be and why she is calling ppl.

It seems like I just got the same exact call as every one else on this forum.

I immediately went online to look to whom it belonged to and the first thing that came up was this forum.

I don't like that, that lady verifies every ones names. How the hell can she know our names?

This could be fraudulent activity by the same lady. I'm going to try and call the police and file a report. Give them the link to this forum so they can keep track of this. It might be something that they might want to keep an eye on.

It's better to be safe than sorry.

Called on 1/6, Asked for my mother very softly, almost like she was sick, When I asked whos calling, hung up. Called back, rang rang rang, went to a automated voicemail of a cellphone

I RECEIVE THIS PHONE CALL AND SHE ALSO CALL ME BY MY NAME AND TOLD HER IS NOT ME AND THEN SHE GANG UP THE PHONE I TRY CALLING BACK AND WILL NOT ANSWER. IT GOES TO A MACHINE

Unknown female called me at work, ask specifically for me and hung up when I confimed that it was me.

Left No Message.

Asked for my husband by name.  When I replied can I take a message, he hung up on me.

10 21 09--Answered phone, lady asked for a person using his given name.  I replied that he wasn't present and asked if I could take a message.  She hung up.

Do they have a list of numbers for which they need to verify the name?  For, perhaps, use by telemarketers?

I received same kind of call.  Said "Hi" then my name I said yes and she hung up.  It's a cell phone in Battle Creek, MI.  I'm in the 662 area.

Received a call from 269-830-1819 at 10:37 AM EST US. I am in area code 919 (NC) and 269 is somewhere in Michigan (MI). I answered because I don't know anyone from that number. As soon as I responded, the call was disconnected. Called back to see if it was a wrong number. Got an automated answering system. Tried number from a different phone (my home's landline) and got the same result.

Called my wife and asked for me by my first name.  When she asked to take a message, the woman hung up.

Tried to return call...goes right to automated voice mail.

My wife answered the phone from this number. A woman asked for me by my formal first name. When my wife asked to take a message, she hung up. We tried to call the number back but it goes to an automated voice mail, with no return call. My area code is 540.

I recieved a call tonight 2/21/08 from a cell phone 269-830-1819. When I answered the phone the woman on the other end new my name. She asked for my wife by name too. Before I could answer her she disconnected on me. I called the number back and got a automated voice-mail. Anyone have any information on this number please post.

Received a call Dec 17 18, 19, 07, doesn't leave messages. May be trying random numbers. Mine is a secondary default cell number that was placed on the 'do not call list' 6 months ago. 269 being Battlecreek, MI probably telemarketer.

What area code are you in? I'd like to know if she is just trying out random numbers in different area codes or if she is calling one in specific being that she asked for me.
