According to my caller ID it came from something called "Protection Ctr.

Called my cell phone twice 10/11/2010; don't know who it is.  No message.  I called back -- first thing they ask is 'do you want to be placed on our do not call list?', press 1 so I did.

voice recording explained about statistics of home burglery from the FBI and to press one to receive your free burglar alarm.Made it sound like the FBI was handing out free alarm systems.I think its a bunch of BS just to get you to press one so they can get access to something.

got this call today.  missed the call, but called back to be removed from call list.  thanks to City ID on my phone, i do know the call originated out of Kalamazoo, MI.

This number has been calling me talking about a loan collection and then getting nasty and obscene. I have got 7 calls today.

Pretty sure they get our numbers from credit card companies. It is the same deal as Credit Card Services, another scam that says they will lower your interest rate, then gets your current card number and maxes out your account. If you have a Chase or Citibank credit card, immediately call them about your privacy choices and change them. They sell your info to anyone.  Oh, and when I get these illegal calls, i put my phone next to my laptop- and play as loud as possible- the most annoying, ear-piercing sound I could find. Or, I pretend I'm an angry Asian man demanding free system or free credit card now! I find it stress relieving to F*CK with them rather than stress inducing.

Received the same call from this number on Thursday, Oct. 7 and again today Monday, Oct. 11.  Also received a call with the same message today from phone number (207) 571-8867.  

Twice, I have stayed on the line twice to ask the sales reps the name of their company, how they got my number, and to remove it from the list.  This is my private cell phone number they are calling.  Sales reps say the name of their company is Home Security Group and that they get their call list from a third-party provider.  Sales reps did not know or could not give me the name of the third-party call list provider.  Sales reps said they would remove my number from the list.

I have never given my private cell phone number for any marketing, etc. reasons.  I do have my private cell phone number listed on my Facebook profile for my family and friends to access...  Anyone else have your phone numbers that are being called by this company listed on Facebook?

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone.  I really hate these types of calls.  I didn't answer it.  Area code is for Kalamazoo Mich.  I know no one in that area.  Hopefully they won't call again.

They called my cell twice in 40 minutes this morning - no message left. Almost answered the second time - I guess they're trying to be tricky to make me think it is an important call. I'm not sure about the laws on how often they can call, but I don't think they should be able to call twice in the same hour. (Personally I think telemarketing should be illegal, and I don't care that all those annoying sweepstakes and free item gimmicks might go away too, as they just open doors for scams anyhow.)

Had a missed call from this number. If somebody gets a live person, why not set up an appt and involve local law enforcement?

Just received a call from the number at 2:21pm, same deal about the home security systems that people have noted above. Just hung up.

received auto message: the fbi reports break ins in your area.  we will be in your area ....press 1 for free alarm system.  they are probably thief's who will check out your home for a future break in.

Got this call, did not answer, called back from a different public phone, was saying about opting out of the call to press one,  strange couple days before I received calls from   816-420-4002  and now from 269-978-1180 wonder if they are related.  in any case don't answer it will go aways, if it was something important they would leave a voice mail  :)

I got the call twice already, looks like a new scam. I called ATT and they wanted me to call the local cops. is that ok to do.? or shld i be calling someone else to report?

Automated voice said about some home security device installation for free in my area and some FBI reporting multiple incidents about theft.

They called me at 1:33 today, I didn't have my phone with me, so I didn't pick up.  They didn't leave a voicemail. I called them back and just like a few other people said it had the message, "press 1 if you want to be on the do not call list" then it hung up after 19 seconds.  Suspicious? I think so.

"Missed" a cell call just this afternoon -- don't know anyone in the SW part of MI the are code seems to be.

these people have called me too many times mentioning the fbi and frequency of break-ins. Very annoying and illegal. Next time they call, I will play along and pretend I want home security to try and get more info for prosecution!

just got a call from this number, didn't answer, when home, and researched online, and found this forum, so called them and just an answering service asked me to dial 1 if I wanted to be opout of their calling list which I did.
