When called by this number at 10:25 a.m., 30 August 07, I lifted the receiver and waited.  There was no voice on the calling end.  I hung up momentarily and then lifted the receiver.  A mail voice said something about a mortgage and ABN AMRO.  When asked "who are you and who are you with", the caller hung up.

Same thing happened to me today. A guy with heavy South-Asia accent asked for my wife and claimed he is working for some NZI mortgage company. I told him that my number is on DONOTCALL and he is not supposed to call me. And he hang up.

They tried me today. I didn't answer and they left no msg. Suspect my number was stolen in the Monster.com compromise as I gotten several similar calls since, like my number is on a scam list overseas.

Received a voice mail from this number and the guy spoke a language I cannot understand.

This number calls 4 times a day and is  linked to level 3 communications in KY.

i called them to have it removed - 800-348-5457 The lady at level 3 communications said that she would take care of it.

If it continues I will call the fbi in KY and report terrorist threat.

Called me also.  What is going on.  My cell is a no call phone

I received a call today and let it ring.  I went to recall the number to see who is calling me and it is a busy number every time I call.  I've called at least a dozen times.

Received a call similar to the ones already here.  I tried calling it back and all I get is a busy number.  I'm so tired of this kind of stuff.  Agree, maybe we should all call the FBI and/or Secret Service (because part of their job is internet security, as well as scams)and maybe then could resolve it!

I get a call everyday from this number and when I ask who is calling they hang up on me. I call the number back and I get a message that this number has been changed or disconected but yet I will get another call from that same number the next day. Very annoying!

This stupid number keeps calling our house once to twice a day for the past couple of months.  Is there anything we can do about it besides changing our phone number?

2 rings and a hang-up...have received this call many times before with a scam telemarketer on the other end posing as a ABN AMRO Mortgage rep (my former mortgage company which is now CitiMortgage.)  DO NOT TALK TO THIS NUMBER.  File a complaint with the do not call registry.

The phone rings and once answered, immediately hangs up.  My call back does not go through as the number has been "disconnected".    Has occurred 7 times in the last month.  I also had an ABN Mortgage that is now CitiMortgage.

Appears to be a link there - we also had  ABN Mortgage and just had another call.

i also had an ABN Mortgage that's with Citi now.  has anyone called ABN yet to see what's what?

Just got a call from this number.  Heard some background noise from the other side but no one was talking.  It hung up after 10 seconds.  I also have ABN Mortgage that's now Citi.

I get a call each day from this number.  When I answer the call is disconnected.  When I try calling the same number the automated message comes on and says "your call cannot be completed as dialed".

I got 2 of these calls yesterday from this same number. No message was left. I to had ABN Mortgage and now it's Citibank. Has anyone notified either of these companies to find out what is going on?

Well, they called again today!  This time, when I told them that I didn't appreciate the call because I had already asked them to take our number off their call list and told them that I was going to report them to the FCC (which I did through the FCC website), the man on the other end almost started to cry -- he apologized and asked me to please not report him to the FCC, etc.  Too late!  This number has been reported to the FCC and to the Do Not Call Registry.  I'm tired of these calls especially when you are on the Do Not Call Registry (since 2004) and also after asking them!  I also was not exactly polite or even ladylike when I spoke to them today!

I found this number listed on my caller ID, but no messages on my answering machine. One thing people should keep in mind that if they are on the DNC Registry and have a mortgage with this company, then they are not violating the law.

caller hangs up everytime I pick up the phone. Never leaves any message either. when I try to call the number, the telephone company says that number has number has been disconnected.

The source of the calls is citi, they buy mortgages mine ws with amro they are one in the same. I encourage ALL of the readers of this post to contact citi and advise them that you will no longer do business with them. I recieved a snail mail from citi offering a lower mortgage rate. No where on the letter did it state an e-mail address or the name amro. After a lot of time consuming searching I found they are related. I will now try to find another mortgage company, not affiliated with with either one to to business with, and I hope you all do the same.

I received a call from 270-859-6632 on my cell phone at 1:08pm on December 1st, 2007.  A male with a slight Indian accent told me that he was calling in regard to my mortgage and provided some details.  He seemed reluctant to identify his company, but after I asked several times he said he works for "MVI Mortgage."  I informed him that it was not legal to cold call cell phones (http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2005/04/dnc.shtm) and rather than apologize and hang up, he told me he just trying to save me money.  For once, I was able to hang up on them!

Caller with a heavy Indian (?) accent asking for my fiance.  Would not leave a message, said he would call back.  If this is mortgage related, he should have asked for either of us as the mortgage is in both names.

got the same message the phone rings and the male person on the other end souths like from india. states from NZI mortgage. i could hear typing and other sounds in the back ground, like many people on the phone. has anyone had any luck tracking this number down?

You know, Not only am I sick of these callers, but I am sick of the phone company protecting them.  We all need to stand up against the phone companies.  In an age of cell phones we can easily get millions of people to drop their regular land lines unless the phone companies argee to protect our phone numbers.

Just like everyone else, I get the call about 2 times a day for the past month and they hang up when I answer, which I don't anymore.

I have been getting calls from the same number, I refuse to answer anymore due to no one on the other end...

I got a call from this number a few days ago, and I have definetly had others. Bowling Green, Kentucky shows up on caller id. I don't answer them anymore.

I got called by this number today.  They've been calling all week, but I was home this time.  It was a man who asked for me.  I asked who was calling, and all he said was, "Samuel."  When I asked from where, he gave the name of my former mortgage company.  I said I was the person he was trying to reach.  He asked if I was planning on a cash out refi now that I was changing mortgage companies (not my choice - it got sold).  I said, "No."

I wish I had pressed him on how he got my number and why he didn't identify himself properly.  It all sounded very, very fishy.
