I received a call from this number (276-656-2200), identifying themselves as Eddie Bauer and telling me that they were having trouble processing my order. They had the last four digits of an old credit card of mine and asked me to provide them with a new number. Thankfully, I did not.

They called me this morning 3/4/08. I wasn't fast enough to answer and I have been trying to call them back since. Thank Goodness I was smart enough to try Googling this number to find this blog!!!

Yes, was a Restoration Hardware number for me too.

Actually this turned out to be a legit # for me. I let the call go to VM and it was from Kenneth Cole which I had placed an online order with a couple days ago. They needed to verify my shipping address. I called the *1800 number they left on the vm and they had all my information ready to go and just needed to verify the shipping address.

I think this 276 number is the front number for some online delivery service that some companies use.

Any time I get some weird phone call like this, I don't answer and come here.  This sounds like a scam.  I will tell my family to ignore this caller.

The lady said she was calling on behalf of Restoration Hardware and that the credit card I had entered online was declined.  I gave her a new credit card and then worried about whether it was really Restoration Hardware.  I then called the 800 number for Restoration Hardware and the customer service rep gave me the ending numbers of the new credit card and said it had been approved.  This was within minutes of me giving out the new card number.  Right now I feel this was a legitimate call.

Had a gentleman call my phone asking for me. He did not want to leave a measgage. I told him that I was not the resident that he was looking for even though I was. I called the # back and all I got was a ringing with no voicmail came up

I called back the 276 number, not the 800 number that was left in my voice mail about confirming my billing address (I hadn't bought anything there) and there was no answer, not even an automated response, after 2 minutes of ringing.
